They're coming off a state title and could very easily repeat with Wilkins in the frontcourt. He's a double-double machine in the painted area who should continue to grow as a two-way presence on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1382077' first='Johnniyus' last='Sharpe'] - Reidsville High (Cummings High)

Sharpe was one of the top names in the Cummings High rotation this past season and will move to Reidsville High where he'll make them even tougher to defend against with top 2026 names [player_tooltip player_id='1628346' first='Kendre' last='Harrison'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1716474' first='Dionte' last='Neal'] in the lineup. He's a gritty two-way presence who can play either guard role and knock down shots in a variety of ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='1682357' first='Markus' last='Kerr'] - JL Chambers High (West Charlotte High)

Kerr is a prospect in the 2026 class who really grew over the summer on the EYBL scene with Team United. He'll be looked upon to play a role on the wing as he joins the JL Chambers High rotation as they look to make a run in the state playoffs. The Charlotte metro area will be a competitive place in the NCHSAA ranks this season!

[player_tooltip player_id='1990411' first='Isaiah' last='Denis'] - Davidson Day School (1 of 1 Academy)

Denis is a wiry guard prospect who should boost the Davidson Day School backcourt with his ability to shoot the ball and attack the paint. He's also got good defensive instincts to go along with his 6-foot-4 frame. He joins Davidson Day in the NCISAA after spending 2022-23 with 1 of 1 Academy. He's an underrecruited name in the 2025 class with room to grow in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1907233' first='Max' last='VanWeerdhuizen'] - High Point Christian Academy (Oak Grove High)

VanWeerdhuizen is an underrated floor general in the 2026 class whose name should grow a ton on the NCISAA stage with High Point Christian Academy. He's an electric playmaker who can knock down shots at volume off the bounce and on the perimeter and defend with a ton of energy. He put up 16.1 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 3.9 APG and 2.0 SPG at Oak Grove in 2022-23.

[player_tooltip player_id='1374129' first='Devin' last='Sims'] - The Burlington School (Hillside High)

Sims is an underrated athletic forward looking to develop his game with a move into the NCISAA after playing in the Durham area with Hillside High. He nearly averaged a double-double (13.2 PPG & 8.8 RPG) in 2022-23 with the Hornets. He'll join last year's 2A NCISAA State Champion The Burlington School looking to boost his presence in the 2025 class this upcoming year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1409583' first='Chadlyn' last='Traylor'] - North Mecklenburg High (West Charlotte High)

Traylor is another move from West Charlotte High who should make his presence felt in the North Mecklenburg High backcourt. He's a 6-foot-3 guard presence who's shown he can operate at either guard role with his ability to make things happen for others and knock down shots behind the arc. He posted 15.5 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 3.0 APG and 1.3 SPG last season with West Charlotte.

[player_tooltip player_id='1156297' first='Isaac' last='Tatum'] - Fayetteville Academy (Rolesville High)

Tatum moves from the NCHSAA's Rolesville Rams into the NCISAA looking to develop his overall presence in the state. He's a 6-foot floor general who should really boost the stock of Fayetteville Academy in the NCISAA this season, especially with his ability to defend 94 feet. Look for his name to grow in the 2025 class this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1225670' first='Wesley' last='White'] - Hickory Ridge High (West Cabarrus High)

White is an emerging forward name to get to know as he moves from West Cabarrus High to Hickory Ridge High heading into the 2023-24 season. He averaged 13.3 PPG and After developing his game on the UA stage with [program_tooltip program_id='2078535' first='Team' last='Charlotte'] this past grassroots cycle, he'll have a lot more to prove with Hickory Ridge High heading into his junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1031081' first='Ashton' last='King'] - Myers Park High (Winston-Salem Christian School)

King is a big guard prospect at 6-foot-2 who should make an impact in the NCHSAA ranks for Myers Park High as they look to defend their 4A State Title. He's an underrecruited name in the 2025 class who should see his stock grow alongside other DI prospects in the Mustangs rotation. He should be a presence given his ability to attack the basket, make plays off the bounce for others and finish in traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id='1076359' first='Tyler' last='Whitehurst'] - Farmville Central High (Riverside-Martin)

Whitehurst joins the defending NCHSAA 2A State Champions in Farmville Central High as he looks to wrap up the final two years in his high school career. His ability to operate on both ends of the floor should really boost their backcourt attack and then some this upcoming season. He produced 26.0 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 2.4 APG and 1.9 SPG in 2022-2023 at Riverside-Martin High.
