Highlights
Philon is a long 6’8 forward who can play on the perimeter and in the paint. The showcase showed how versatile the sophomore’s game is with and without the ball. He flashed his handle, made jumpers off the catch, ran the floor, and scored second-chance points. The defensive end is his calling card at this point in his development. He can switch on to any offensive player at the high school and projects to guard 1-4 at the next level. His ability to defend the rim, move his feet in space, and score on and off the ball makes him a special long-term prospect.
Delgardo balanced playmaking and scoring on the court. He’s a high IQ point guard who can manipulate defenses and find the big in pick and roll. He has a really good sense of space on the floor and sees plays before they form. Delgardo’s a good athlete who pinned a shot on the backboard in transition, has blow-by speed, and the quickness to stay in front of his man on defense. A consistent jumper and quickness help him score on all levels.
Gavin Tinsely is a stretch four with a good motor. The 6’7 junior grabbed rebounds, mixed it up in the paint, and shot well from the corner. He adds to Plant’s deadly shooting while giving them size on the boards.
Highlights
Boakye has refined his game to become an athletic playmaker on both ends of the court. Defenses struggled to stay in front of him when he changed his pace or hit the gas. He is a cagey defender who can keep his man in front of him and force turnovers as an on and off-ball defender. The 6’1 guard finishes above the rim, breaks down pick and rolls, and easily gets to his spots.
Wylde Correa is a 6’8 big who wants to block everything in his area. He runs the floor well and has good hands. He didn’t assert himself on the offensive end, but it didn’t stop him from competing on the boards or defensive end.
