Nate Boakye
About Nate
Expert Analysis
Matthew O'Connell | Prep Hoops Scout
Nate is the definition of a high-energy athlete who does everything he can to help his team win. He’s constantly sprinting all over the floor, diving for loose balls at every opportunity and fighting in the paint for rebounds. He’s a complete nuisance defensively both on and off the ball. Offensively, he’s a good ball handler, gets into the paint well, and finishes through contact around the rim. If that wasn’t enough, this season he also shot 43% from three and led Jesuit in 3 PM, FTM, points, rebounds, assists, and steals.

The 6-2 Jesuit product is on one to start the season as he’s helped lead the Tigers to a 6-1 hot start to get the season going. The electric senior combo guard is a speedy prospect but plays with good body control and IQ at the top of the key or in transition. Another 2024 guard that will be on the market for college coaches but will need to show off his ability to stay consistent throughout the season.

The 6-1 senior guard is a pest on the defensive side where he shows good movement whether it’s on or off the ball. Boakye is also very active in the passing lanes playing with good energy where he gets tips and steals which lead to fastbreak points on the other end. On the offensive end, Boakye has had a strong start to the season where he is finishing at the front of the rim showing his ability to draw contact getting to the free throw line. His perimeter shooting has also taken strides in limited attempts as well to begin the season.

Nate Boakye, A 6-2 senior guard plays and understands his role for both his high school and AAU team. Boakye is a superb athlete who shows a quick first step at getting to the basket on the offensive end. His defensive game is strong as well as he is scrappy on the ball and adapts to being active in the passing lanes. Boakye also plays with great energy on the offensive end as he can finish above the rim as well as shoot efficiently from beyond the arc.
