The best shooter in the gym, Watters went off for four or five 3-pointers in the first half of the first game of the day. Constantly moving without the ball in his hands, Watters knows that he needs to be active off the ball to get as many open shots as possible. Confident even a few feet behind the 3-point line, Watters hit a couple 3’s where defenders just didn’t get up to the level quickly enough. Showed off a couple off the bounce moves including a nasty right to left crossover for an easy layup. I think Big Walnut could be a sleeper in central Ohio this winter as they have a lot of talent across the board.

One of the top athletes in the league, Parish is a power wing who can make a lot of plays in the paint. A couple closeout attacks off the bounce from the left side, getting quick righty finishes at the rim before rim protectors could challenge him at the rim. He was getting run off the line after knocking down some corner 3-pointers and pick and pop 3’s. In the second game of the day, Parish sealed the win with a blocked shot at the buzzer to hold on to a one-point victory. Small college programs should be paying close attention to Parish by this point.

A new name for myself, I was impressed with the early shooting ability of Clifton. Hits shots off the catch, Clifton has a somewhat funky shot that does give him a high release which allows him to shoot past late contests. With the impressive ball movement his team played with, Clifton had some easy looks and converted on them. For Clifton, the next step in his development will be improving as an athlete by looking to get quicker on the perimeter. This development would allow him to be more of a threat in transition.
Knostman is a high-flying wing forward who can get up on the rim in a hurry, Knostman threw down a couple dunks from a standstill under the rim. Able to finish with either hand, Knostman despite being a lefty, seemed more confident with the right hand at the rim. With his length and athleticism, Knostman blocked a couple jumpers that showed off his recovery abilities on the defensive end of the court. For Knostman, becoming more of a threat from the perimeter with a jumper could really open up his game.

One of the most intriguing prospects in the league, Gilbert is an intriguing big man who can really dominate a game from the paint. Protecting the rim is one of his calling cards. Able to protect the rim without fouling, his hands are disciplined when contesting shots. Able to score at will on the block against smaller bigs, Gilbert was a tough cover for undersized opponents. Look for Gilbert to attract a lot of scholarship interest this winter.
