One of the most athletic players in the Columbus city league, Knostman has been putting up big time numbers for a few years now. Also a soccer standout, Knostman won MVP honors during the city league championship. Knostman has had a fast start to his senior season, scoring 20 points against Olentangy Orange and 22 against Columbus DeSales. The lefty can play above the rim and finish with either hand on layups. A forward who is always in attack mode, Knostman likes to put his shoulder down and get to the paint. With his high academic scores he could get himself some nice scholarship packages from small college programs giving him academic and/or athletic support.

Knostman is a high-flying wing forward who can get up on the rim in a hurry, Knostman threw down a couple dunks from a standstill under the rim. Able to finish with either hand, Knostman despite being a lefty, seemed more confident with the right hand at the rim. With his length and athleticism, Knostman blocked a couple jumpers that showed off his recovery abilities on the defensive end of the court. For Knostman, becoming more of a threat from the perimeter with a jumper could really open up his game.

We’ve seen a couple prospects from the Midwest Basketball Club Sever team debut during this ranking update and Knostman is the latest. A skilled wing who can put the ball on the floor and score while attacking the basket has been a staple for the Whetstone program. Playing sports during all seasons of the school year, Knostman is an impressive athlete with a variety of skills. His marquee moment came on a buzzer-beating layup to defeat All Ohio Red in July. The lefty is also a capable shooter from the perimeter and has been productive in the Columbus City League during his underclassmen years, earning first team all-city league north as a sophomore.
