The most impressive performance of the day was Kahnplaye in the first game of the day. The lefty guard was making shots from absolutely everywhere on the court and letting everybody know that nobody could guard him. Able to shoot off the catch after kick outs and pull-up jumpers in the pick and roll. Defensively, Kahnplaye was jumping passing lanes and getting out in transition. At the rim, Kahnplaye showed patience and body control and had a crazy reverse layup on the right side with his left hand.
Highlights
Bode Stone
Bode Stone
Tied for the tallest prospect in the camp at 6’7, Stone was a stretch forward who liked to use an outside-inside offensive approach. With his size, Stone was able to finish over smaller defenders in the paint. Able to attack a closeout due to his shooting ability in the corner. I thought Stone showed intriguing potential and is a prospect who in the right college weightroom program, could be an intriguing prospect to develop.
Eli Wilson
Eli Wilson
Wilson was an efficient scorer who ran the floor and got a few easy layups by getting behind the defense. He also had a really nice look in transition for a layup, showing off his court vision and unselfishness. A guy you can’t leave open, Wilson was making open shots when they came to him. Despite his size, Wilson even blocked a shot in the paint, showing his competitiveness defensively. Wilson made his trip up from Tennessee worth it on Saturday.
Miklos Melton Jr
Miklos Melton Jr
The lefty guard got hot to end the first game of the day to lead his team to victory. With the game tight, Melton and Layken Lyons Layken Lyons 6’2″ | SG Taylor County | 2025 State KY went on a big late push to pull away at the end. Melton Jr was best in the open court where he could use his quickness and craftiness to finish at the rim. A high academic prospect, Melton Jr will likely get small college interest during next grassroots season.
Luke Idlett
Luke Idlett
Idlett did a good job attacking closeouts and getting to the basket off the dribble. His most impressive play was an acrobatic finish at the rim after getting by the initial defender with a quick and decisive move off the bounce. Idlett even knocked down a deep pull-up 3-pointer in one of the last games of the day. Playing multiple sports at powerhouse Bowling Green, Idlett is looking to make an impact on both the hardwood and the diamond for the Purples as a Junior.
Aj Dixon
Aj Dixon
Dixon was an athletic wing who used his length to make a defensive impact. His long wingspan allowed him to get into passing lanes and help start transition opportunities. His motor on the glass also got his team extra possessions. Combine these skills with a couple top of the key jumpers and Dixon was a well-rounded performer.
