Even though his team had no subs, Nathan’s motor never stopped during his second game of the night. One thing that immediately stood out was his communication, as he was making sure his teammates were matched up and in the right spots on every defensive possession. Even as the game wore down he was constantly fighting to get over ball screens and scrap for rebounds against taller players. Offensively he showcased good elevation on his jumper, and knocked down a handful of threes throughout the game to keep it competitive. Really competitive player who has impressed at multiple events this fall.

JJ Semanko JJ Semanko 6’4″ | SF Hopkins | 2025 State MN stepped up helping lead his team past arguably the most talented team in the league. The 6’4 wing was a difficult matchup for defenders because his high release has to be defended by length, but not a lot of size can move their feet with him. When smaller guards were on him JJ was able to pull-up for mid-range and three point shots, using his high release point to get shots up over a contest with ease. When he was guarded with size he was able to put the ball on the floor and get all the way to the rack for some smooth finishes. Big time scoring threat who can put points on the board in a hurry.

Kendre had a strong performance in game two, working hard off the ball to open up high percentage looks around the basket. Had some nice plays flashing to the high post, facing up, and then hitting the mid-range shot or attacking off one dribble. Kendre produced efficiently around the basket with a number of put-back buckets, while also finding pockets of space to catch dump-off passes when his guards attacked the basket. Really efficient performance in a win for the 2025 out of CDH.
Dane was dominant in the paint for the Gray Team. With his size at 6’5-6’6 combined with fluid athleticism he was constantly putting himself in the right spots off the ball to make plays around the rim as a shot blocker. Had some huge swats just elevating into position to shut down drives. On the offensive end he ran the floor hard for some transition buckets and was scrapping for offensive boards. Really impressed with how well he moves at his size.
Highlights
Evan has a lightning quick release on his three point shot, and it allowed him to consistently beat the closeout to put three points on the board for his team. Murray started off the game strong with a pair of three point makes off the catch, and then a hard backdoor cut leading to a lay-up. Thought he displayed good vision from the perimeter as well to see the floor and deliver a couple of assists to slashing teammates. Helped his team get off to a strong start and hold on to their lead for the length of the game.

You won’t find many players as fast as Jaleel is with the ball in his hands. He was consistently able to get two feet in the paint and utilize his vision to deliver accurate passes to one of his forwards waiting around the rim. So good at looking defenders off and then making a no-look pass into his teammate’s hands look routine. After a defensive rebound or outlet pass he was constantly looking to push the tempo, and was able to fly past defenders up the floor for some transition lay-up opportunities. Also showcased his explosive athleticism as a teammate threw and alley-oop pass from half-court and Jaleel elevated off two feet to throw down the dunk.
Daniel put up some big scoring numbers to keep his team in it until the very end. One thing that always stands out when watching Daniel play is just how good of a rebounder he is as a guard. He excels at high pointing the ball and securing it with two hands, showcasing his football background as he has no problem securing missed shots amongst a crowd of hands. In this league he has the green light to create off the dribble, and defenders all game long had trouble keeping him in front as he has a nice hesitation move and then can cover so much ground with one extra dribble. Was knocking down pull-up jumpers from mid-range and three consistently throughout the game.
