Kevin Sylla Kevin Sylla 6'8" | PF Smoky Hill | 2024 State CO – Smoky Hill – 2024
Sylla will be a riser this upcoming season, among the more productive frontcourt athletes in the 2024 class. Slimmed down after this summer, the forward is a bit more mobile and has continued to reaffirm his vertical bounce. Active on both ends of the glass, Sylla brings a high motor alongside a very strong frame. He can score through contact, even elevating over opponents should the right matchup present itself. Although impactful around the rim, the forward has begun showing progression with his perimeter skillset, both as a ball handler and shotmaker. He continues to find confidence stepping into three point attempts, boasting the necessary height advantage to shoot over opponents. Should opponents stay too high on the closeout, Sylla is progressing as a straight line driver, scoring with either hand on attempts around the rim.
Vince Guthrie – Cherokee Trail – 2025
Guthrie was all over the glass versus Rangeview, possessing a high motor and knack for timing offensive boards. Standing right around 6’5, the forward was an impactful two-way player, utilizing his high motor to impact the game. Defensively, Guthrie was often in position to swat away or contest shot attempts at the rim, utilizing his mobility to get in front early. On offense, he did well staying in position as a dump off option, contributing on a few contested layups and putback attempts.
Brady Wynja Brady Wynja 6'6" | SF Valor Christian | 2025 State CO – Valor Christian – 2025
Wynja is another strong forward who is a sturdy point of attack defender and impactful rebounding option. He is efficient going up for putbacks or layup attempts, capable of finishing through tight contests. The incoming junior brings a blend of complementary skills on offense, effective at stretching out the floor for spot-up attempts or utilizing his pivot foot for finishes around equally tall opponents.
Joel Nichols – Arapahoe – 2024
Nichols is an intriguing forward who was an active rebounder and shot blocker with this Arapahoe group, standing at least 6’6. With the combination of Henry, Nichols, and McMonigle, this group boasts a lot of length and mobility on the defensive side. The forward was in position to convert plenty of layups around the rim, capable of getting up for reverse finishes in traffic. His progression as a play finisher and interior passer will be intriguing, given the ample scoring options available in this group.
Cass Henry – Arapahoe – 2024
Henry is certainly among the most unique prospects in the 2024 class, given his blend of skills for his size. His greatest impact from Arapahoe’s matchup versus Grandview came on the glass and attacking the interior throughout the second half. Needing to claw their way back, Henry was constantly attacking the paint, scoring through contact for a variety of drawn fouls plus and-1s. He was active in the passing lanes, deflecting and instigating outlet passes. Continuing to slow down the game within the halfcourt will be an area of importance for the forward.
