Continue ReadingCota was really good as a sophomore for the Kee Hawks, averaging 17.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks a game. He’s an athletic and physical 6-4 forward who does a majority of his damage inside the arc, but he’s able to play a bit on the perimeter as well.
Highlights
Edwards will head to Army to play college football, but he’ll be looking to help lead his dad’s team to the state tournament as a senior on the hardwood. A big, athletic 6-6/6-7 forward with good hands and great court vision, he’s able to do a little bit of everything on the basketball court, averaging 11.1 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.8 blocks a game as a junior. He can be a bit passive at times, but when he’s engaged and looking to attack, there are few better two-way players in the class.
Snyder is a big-time scorer for the Falcons, averaging 19.2 points and 9.1 rebounds a game as a junior. A physical 6-4 forward who pounds the glass on both ends of the floor (3.2 offensive rebounds a game), he can also create looks for himself off the dribble.
Highlights
A quick 6-0 guard who loves to play downhill and attack the rim, Powell is coming off a really good sophomore year for the Irish in which he averaged 17.5 points and 2.9 assists a game. He’s able to put constant pressure on opposing defenses with his ability to blow by his defender and either score or find open teammates. He’s also a good on-ball defender who moves his feet well and has quick hands.
Suntken pairs with Cayde Eberling to give the Warhawks one of the best backcourts in the class. He’s a fantastic shooter both off the dribble and the catch, burying just under 40% of his 3-point attempts as a junior. He’s also a skilled playmaker who sees the floor well and likes to get his teammates involved. He averaged 14.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists a game last season.
Highlights
A big, physical 6-5 forward with soft hands and great touch around the rim, Homan averaged 14.6 points and 8.2 rebounds a game as a sophomore while also serving as the defensive anchor of one of the best defensive teams in the class. He does a large majority of his damage inside the paint, but he showed some ability last year to occasionally step out and stretch the floor. I’ll be curious to see if we see a bit more of that this year as the Hawks will be replacing a lot of scoring.
Noun Harder is one of the best pure point guards in the class, a pass-first guard who dished out 6.3 assists a game and had a 3.43 assist-to-turnover ratio as a junior. He’s not much of a scoring threat (7.1 points a game), but his command of the offense is outstanding.
A long and athletic 6-6/6-7 forward who runs the floor well and finishes at the bucket, Van Dyke led the Hawks in scoring (11.8) and rebounding (8.3) last season while also blocking 1.4 shots a game. He’s extremely efficient, shooting just under 69% from the floor as a junior, and with his ability to control the glass, protect the rim, and score in the paint, he’s a tough matchup at this level for Lynnville-Sully.
A 6-1 off-ball guard, Marquart is a sniper from deep who had a great summer playing with a United as One team that featured a good chunk of the Raiders roster. Following the graduations of Preston Gillespie and Casey Gardner, who combined to average over 46 points and 12 assists a game, Marquart will have the ball in his hands a ton as a junior, and he looks like he’s ready to step the next jump in his game.

A look at Kettmann’s numbers – 8.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.8 blocks – would suggest a good player, but not a “star”. But the stat’s tell a limited story on the impact that he makes on both ends of the floor for Marquette Catholic. A 6-3/6-4 combo forward who can score inside and out, he provides a ton of defensive versatility with his ability to defend on the perimeter or protect the paint.
