Schools in the County: Anderson Christian, Belton-Honea Path HS, Crescent HS, Palmetto HS, Pendleton HS, Powdersville HS, TL Hanna HS, Westside HS and Wren HS
Anderson Christian – The Lions finished (8-14) a season ago in the SCISA ranks. The Lions will need to replace plenty of scoring that was lost on the roster due to graduation.
Belton-Honea Path HS (Honea Path) – Who will set up and lead the way for the Bears this season. The Bears finished (8-15) a season ago.
Crescent HS (Iva) – The Tigers finished just (3-20) a season ago. The bright side is that things can only go up this season. Elijah Walton Elijah Walton 5'5" | PG Crescent | 2024 State SC , Josh Airline Josh Airline 6'4" | PF Crescent | 2024 State SC and Jasyiah Davis all return this season. Walton averaged 12.3 ppg last season while Airline chipped in at 12 ppg and 8.3 rebounds. Davis rounded it out at 11.5 ppg.
Palmetto HS (Williamston) – Senior Christian Beitel Christian Beitel 6'4" | SF Palmetto | 2024 State SC is the go-to guy for the Mustangs. The Mustangs finished (7-19) a season ago. Beitel is a long and rangy forward who can knockdown some shots from time to time.
Pendleton HS – The Bulldogs finished (12-15) a season ago. Luke Gray averaged 11.4 ppg and Abijah Webb contributed 8.1 ppg a night are both back this season.
Powdersville HS – Can the Patriots make a deep run this season? Junior Hayden Assemian Hayden Assemian 6'8" | PF Powdersville | 2025 State #186 Nation SC has already received offers from the University of South Carolina, Wake Forest, Appalachian State and others. Assemian played last season at nearby Legacy Early College. Hayden is very versatile around the cup and seems to finish everything in sight. Assemian will look to help turn things around this season after the Patriots finished (10-15) a season ago.
Seniors Nick Sweet Nick Sweet 6'3" | SG Powdersville | 2024 State SC and Caden Kreger Caden Kreger 6'7" | SF Powdersville | 2024 State SC both provide perimeter shooting and a willingness to win for the Patriots squad. Sweet and Kreger both can stretch the defense with their shot making. Sweet averaged 19.2 ppg and 4.9 rebounds last season for the Patriots.
Colton Kreger Colton Kreger 6'4" | SG Powdersville | 2027 State SC a freshman should see some good minutes this season. Prep Hoops first saw Colton this summer at the SCBCA Team Camp in Rock Hill.
T.L. Hanna HS (Anderson) – The Yellow Jackets finished (21-8) a season ago. T.L. Hanna has plenty of seniors on the roster this season for Head Coach Keith Arrington. Jaquarious Patterson Jaquarious Patterson 6'6" | SF T.L. Hanna | 2024 State SC , Javeyn Martin Javeyn Martin 6'1" | CG TL Hanna | 2024 State SC , Tanner Epps Tanner Epps 5'11" | SG T.L. Hanna | 2024 State SC and Cooper Cameron Cooper Cameron 6'1" | SG TL Hanna | 2024 SC will all provide leadership. Lucas Wiersma Lucas Wiersma 6'7" | PF T.L. Hanna | 2026 State SC had a good summer on the Grassroots Circuit with Upward Stars SE 3SSB 3SSB 2026.
Patterson a long and wiry wing player while Martin controls the tempo up the floor. Epps had a good summer on the Grassroots Circuit with Team South Carolina . Cameron looks to be back to healthy after being out with an injury.
Westside HS (Anderson) – Josh Williams Josh Williams 6'0" | CG Westside | 2024 State SC (Chattanooga) and Jimmar Boston Jimmar Boston 6'2" | SF Westside | 2024 SC (North Carolina State) are both football commits from the Rams program. Junior Zeke Marshall Zeke Marshall 6'5" | SF Westside | 2025 State SC is back from the wing position. Marshall plays aggressive on both ends of the court and really looks to attack when given the opportunity.
Zeke averaged 17 ppg and 6.2 rebounds last season for the Rams (24-3). The Rams lost to Wade Hampton HS in the 2nd Round of the SCHSL Playoffs 69-56 last season.
Wren HS (Piedmont) – The Class 3A State Championship goes through Piedmont and the Hurricanes. The defending champs (24-7) a year ago added Junior Abijah Franklin Abijah Franklin 6'4" | SG Wren | 2025 State SC this off season from nearby Legacy Early College. Franklin can really score the ball in hurry and has the ability to create his own shot.
Jeremiah Campbell Jeremiah Campbell 6'2" | SG Wren | 2024 State SC , left-handed wing Cal Godfrey Cal Godfrey 6'7" | SF Wren | 2024 State SC , Rhett Warga Rhett Warga 6'5" | SF Wren | 2025 State SC , Brock Cherry Brock Cherry 6'2" | CG Wren | 2025 State SC and freshman Beau Brannon Beau Brannon 6'6" | PF Wren | 2027 State SC are just some of the names on this very talented roster this coming season for longtime Head Coach Fran Campbell.
Campbell averaged 10.1 ppg a season ago brings the ability to make shots on the perimeter. Cherry a nice sized guard plays the game with good court vision and always plays aggressive on both ends of the floor. Brock averaged 6.5 ppg last season for the Hurricanes.
Warga does a bit of everything to help your team win games. Rhett averaged 5.7 ppg and 3.5 rebounds a season ago.
This team has plenty of talent to capture another Class 3A State Championship again this season.
