Today, we will be starting with our top five small forwards in the Class of 2025. Our latest rankings for the junior class have been updated on our website.
The 6-6 junior forward transferred from IMG Academy to Oak Ridge during the summer. Jones is at his absolute best when he is finishing at the rim and also getting his teammates involved. Jones is an athletic wing who can also handle the basketball like a guard and has continued to improve his outside shooting with more confidence. On the defensive end, Jones plays with a ton of length and physicality causing havoc for opposing players to get a good shot. Jones holds offers from Cincinnati, Kansas State, Houston, Ole Miss, South Florida, Texas and several others.
The 6-4 small forward has been buzzing since his freshman season and has continued to improve his all-around game. Allen does a great job finishing around the rim as well as rebound sensationally well on both ends of the floor. He is very alert on the defensive end and has a knack where he can guard out on the perimeter or inside the paint. On the offensive end, Allen plays with a high IQ on whether to shoot versus pass the basketball. Look for Allen to continue to gain more college coaches interest as we gear into the season.
Joshua Lewis, A 6-7 small forward plays with a dose of energy and athleticism on both ends of the floor and makes the right plays. He gets to the front of the rim with ease and can handle the basketball well despite his size. Lewis plays with great court vision and awareness as well as a great passer who gets his teammates involved early and often. He also has a knack for cleaning up the glass whether it’s finishing an offensive put-back or quickly getting the basketball in transition. Lewis holds offers from Cincinnati, Ole Miss, South Florida and Virginia Tech.
The 6-7 junior forward does a great job at rebounding, blocking shots and getting the ball in transition. He can cover a good amount of the floor with his quick lateral movement out on the perimeter as well as on the interior. Mayfield plays with a dose of length and can guard multiple positions on the defensive end of the floor. Mayfield currently holds offers from Chattanooga, Portland, Rhode Island, Stetson and several others.
Malachi Martis, A 6-5 junior forward can score in a variety of ways whether it’s post-ups, dribble drives or occasionally can score from beyond the arc. Martis plays with a ton of length and athleticism where he can be very versatile on the defensive end of the floor. On the offensive end, he is an underrated as a passer for his size and can see the floor very well. Martis transferred from Calvary Christian Academy to Windermere Prep over the summer.
