However, there will always be players who fly under the radar with so much talent in one class. Here are my underrated players for the 2025 class part II.
Mickens is a player who loves to drive to the rim and seek contact no matter who is in there. He will look to be aggressive when he has the ball and uses his quick lethal crossover to get into the heart of the defense. His finishing ability is excellent and can hang in the air for longer than most players giving him that extra split second to get a shot over a tough defender. Mickens can hold his own on defense being 6’4″ and can guard multiple positions.
Saunders is a shifty player who is looking to make the right play for his team every possession. He is great at setting up an offense and making slick passes in tight windows for his teammates to get open shots. Saunders can turn into a spot-up shooter or a shot creator breaking down defenders and hitting step-back and fading away shots. His ability to finish around the rim is how he will get most of his points as he will look for contact so he can get free throw opportunities and slow his opponent down throughout a game.
Dean is a quick guard that knows when to use his speed in certain situations. The lefty has a smooth release from the three-point range and will come off of 0ff-ball screens to get them. His footwork is great which allows him to pair that with his speed so he can keep defenders on skates. Dean’s range from downtown will increase the more he makes in a game. On the fastbreak, Dean is like a lightning bolt moving up and down the court leaving defenders in the dust as he goes up for the finish.
Highlights
Regan is a sniper from three-point range and gets most of his shots within the flow of an offense as his teammates are always looking for him as he runs off screens to the perimeter. His feet are always set and his shot form is always the same no matter how contested the defense is on him. Regan can even finish at the rim well doing crafty reverse layups while evading defenses in the air. The pull-up shot in the midrange is another efficient shot for him.
Holt is a lengthy shooting guard who can shoot lights out from long range and has a very quick release. He has zero hesitation once he catches the ball and likes to shoot in the corners. He can finish at the rim and take shots in the midrange area as he uses pump fakes to get defenders in the air. Holt’s defense is also respectable with him being able to guard taller players in the low post or guard faster perimeter players up top.
