1.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1945853' first='Austin' last='Taylor'] (Woodward-Granger) - 48.8% (40/82)

Taylor is one of the most unique players on this top 10, a 6-6 weapon who can stretch the floor and protect the rim (3.6 blocks per game). He's long, mobile, covers a ton of ground, and has shown himself to be a dangerous offensive weapon who can score inside and out. With his blend of size and skill, he's a matchup problem at this level.

2.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1751110' first='Reece' last='Vander Zee'] (Central Lyon) - 48.1% (38/79)

A future Iowa wide receiver, Vander Zee was a key piece for the Lions state championship teams on both the gridiron and the hardwood last season. He'll be asked to step into an even more significant role as a senior leader for this group who will be looking to repeat. With his size (6-5), length, and athleticism, he's able to get his shot off whenever he wants and looks primed to have a massive senior season.

3.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1759936' first='Carson' last='Hoogeveen'] (West Lyon) - 47.7% (71/149)

Hoogeveen was far and away the Wildcats most dangerous shooting threat last season, accounting for over 45% of their made 3-pointers. A quick guard who can play with or without the ball in his hands, he's coming off a really good summer with an [program_tooltip program_id='2076356' first='Arena' last='Basketball Club'] team that enjoyed immense success.

4.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171686' first='Gavin' last='Thomas'] (Aplington-Parkersburg) - 46.2% (61/132)

The son of A-P head coach Aaron Thomas, Gavin is a sharpshooter who shoots it at a high clip both off the dribble and the catch. He has a smooth stroke and the type of range that opponents basically need to pick him up as soon as he crosses halfcourt.

5.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1484412' first='Karsten' last='Moret'] (Western Christian) - 43.1% (22/51)

Moret barely qualified for this list, attempting 51 3-pointers last season. He's a quick, athletic 6-3 wing who prefers to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim, but his jumper can certainly be utilized as a weapon as well. Following several key graduations for the Wolfpack, look for Moret to step into a bigger role as a junior.

6.) 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='2413578' first='Dylan' last='Bosma'] (Unity Christian) - 42.5% (54/127)

Bosma, a 6-0 combo guard, was awesome as a freshman for the Knights, averaging 12.6 points and 2.6 assists. He's a strong guard who uses his strength to his advantage when he's getting to the rim, but he also proved himself to be a dangerous shooting threat when operating without the ball in his hands.

7.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1751108' first='Jordan' last='Caton'] (Alburnett) - 42.3% (71/168)

Alburnett was one of the pleasant surprise teams in 2A last season, and Caton, a 5-9 guard was a major reason why. He's lightning quick and keeps defenders on their toes with his combination of speed, handles, and ability to shoot it off the dribble. He gets the ball into his shooting pocket quickly and can stop on a dime and elevate into his shot.

8.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1759911' first='Tiernan' last='Vokes'] (Grundy Center) - 42.1% (32/76)

A 6-4 wing with good size which allows him to get his shot off pretty much whenever he wants, Vokes wasn't just a sharpshooter for the Spartans, he's a highly efficient all-around offensive weapon who posted 53-42-74 shooting splits while finishing second in scoring at 12.2 points a game.

9.) 2024 DJ Vonnahme (Kuemper Catholic) - 42.1% (24/57)

Another future Iowa football player on this top 10, Vonnahme is an explosive athlete who provides a ton of value for the Knights on the glass and with his defensive versatility. Last season, he took his offensive game up a notch, helping Kuemper space the floor by drawing his defender, generally a bigger body, out onto the perimeter with the threat of his jumper.

10.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171662' first='Holden' last='Arnaman'] (West Branch) - 42.0% (71/169)

Arnaman has found himself on a number of these top 10 returnee lists, a testament to how dominant his junior year with the Bears was. A quick, talented 6-2 guard who shoots it off the dribble as well as anyone in the class, Arnaman is a deadly all-around offensive weapon coming off a fantastic summer.
