Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
Thomas recently committed to play his college ball at NAIA Northwestern, where he’ll give the Red Raiders a dynamic all-around offensive weapon who can play with or without the ball in his hands. When he has the ball in his hands, he’s a skilled playmaker who can break down the defense and get to the rim, but he’s also a talented passer who sees the floor really well. He’s a gifted shooter off the dribble, but he may be even more deadly as a shooting threat when he’s operating off the ball, finding open spaces in the defense to torch teams from deep. He shot over 46% from behind the arc as a junior, averaging 15.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists a game.

A 6-2 combo guard, Thomas is an elite shooting threat who buried 46.2% of his 3-point attempts as a junior while averaging 15.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists a game. Throughout his high school career he has shown that he can play either as a facilitator or an off-ball shooter, which will benefit him as he moves to the next level. He’s a good on-ball defender who moves his feet well and gets into passing lanes. Expect to see him playing with the ball in his hands even more as a senior following the graduation of Garrett Hempen.
