[player_tooltip player_id='1226607' first='Curtis' last='Jackson'] - 6'3 - White Oak High School

Jackson is another name out of the Truth Elite fold that continues to show his growth in the 2025 class. He's due for a solid junior season with White Oak High after putting up 13.2 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 3.0 APG and 1.5 SPG on 40 percent shooting from the field. College programs from the region would be wise to get eyes on him given his activity in the backcourt.

9. [player_tooltip player_id='1220132' first='Javon' last='Williams'] - 6'4 - Washington High School

Williams led the Washington High backcourt this season with 17.5 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 1.9 APG and 1.3 SPG on 59 percent shooting from the field. He's a two-way presence who really gets after it when he's on the floor and is set to do work this season in the backcourt with [player_tooltip player_id='1280985' first='Chaise' last='Smith']. As he shows he can knock down shots on the perimeter, look for his stock to grow this season.

8. [player_tooltip player_id='1409592' first='Isaiah' last='Thomas'] - 6'2 - Wayne Prep Academy

Thomas continues to emerge for Wayne Prep Academy and looks poised for a strong year in their backcourt after a productive summer. He led their backcourt in playmaking this past season, posting 5.4 APG along with 13.3 PPG, 5.1 RPG and 3.7 SPG. He's a two-way guard with a knack for making his presence felt with his ability to get to the painted area and force turnovers defensively. DII programs in the region would be wise to get on him.

7. [player_tooltip player_id='1220115' first='Trevor' last='Best'] - 6'2 - Word of God Christian Academy

Best is a name that's starting to find his own in North Carolina's 2025 class at the combo guard spot. He's shown he can play at a high level already after spending the year at Word of God. He's a high-IQ guard who continues to impress with his ability to operate off the bounce and knock down shots in rhythm. As he shows off his defensive ability, look for D1 programs to jump all over him.

6. [player_tooltip player_id='1698954' first='Will' last='James Jr']. - 6'4 - Holly Springs High School

James is due to have quite the breakout season with Holly Springs High with the departure of Ryan Crotty. He made his sophomore debut as a starter in their rotation this past season with his ability to knock down shots on the perimeter and create off the bounce. He's a strong-framed guard prospect that DI programs in the region would be wise to get eyes on this season. Radford has already offered him.

5. [player_tooltip player_id='1030026' first='Jaylen' last='Cross'] - 6'4 - Caldwell Academy

Cross is due for a strong junior campaign at Caldwell Academy after a productive grassroots season on the EYBL scene with Team CP3. He averaged 13.2 PPG, 3.9 RPG and 1.3 APG alongside [player_tooltip player_id='1226605' first='Isaiah' last='Henry'] to show his growth in the backcourt while shooting 51.5 percent from the field and 35.6 percent from deep. HM and MM programs would be wise to get eyes on him this season. Wake Forest, Albany, App State, Charleston, East Carolina and Hampton have offered him.

4. [player_tooltip player_id='1409583' first='Chadlyn' last='Traylor'] - 6'3 - North Mecklenburg High School

Traylor will be a new face in the North Mecklenburg High backcourt to keep an eye on in 2023-24. He joins North Meck after spending the past few seasons at West Charlotte High where he's made a name for himself. He's an active combo guard who put up 15.5 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 3.0 APG and 1.3 SPG on 46 percent shooting from the field. He's another name for DI programs in the region to get eyes on out of the Charlotte area. Western Carolina and Loyola (MD) have offered him.

3. [player_tooltip player_id='1226598' first='Bryce' last='Slay'] - 6'5 - United Faith Christian Academy

Slay remains steady on the PH radar at the No. 3 spot in the 2025 combo guard ranks. He's coming off a solid sophomore season that saw them make another state title game in 2022-23. He averaged 5.7 PPG, 2.2 RPG, 1.9 APG and 1.1 SPG this past season and is due to play a bigger role for his squad in the backcourt. Wake Forest, Marshall, Western Carolina, Charlotte and others have already offered him. Look for more schools to jump on him this season.

2. [player_tooltip player_id='1382077' first='Johnniyus' last='Sharpe'] - 6'2 - Reidsville High School

Sharpe is an underrated guard prospect who should really grow in 2023-24 with Reidsville High School. He'll be a new face after leading Cummings High this past season with 21.7 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 2.5 APG and 2.3 SPG. He's a two-way presence that really gets after it and brings the energy on defense. Arguably one of the best defenders in the 2025 class that's joining forces with an already talented young core of [player_tooltip player_id='1716474' first='Dionte' last='Neal'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1628346' first='Kendre' last='Harrison'].

1. [player_tooltip player_id='1225444' first='Jackson' last='Keith'] - 6'6 - Southern Durham High School

Keith holds the top combo guard spot in North Carolina's 2025 class as he continues to build his resume in the state. He holds a ton of offers from the likes of UVA, Georgetown, NC State, LSU, Virginia Tech and other D1 suitors given his ability to create out of the backcourt. He led the Spartans with 20.7 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 1.8 APG and 1.4 BPG on 53 percent shooting from the floor this past season and looks to do more damage. As he shows off his consistency on the perimeter, look for his stock to continue to rise in the class.

The Freshman Showcase and Top250 Expo are both right around the corner in the month of September!
