Expert Analysis
Van Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Good looking two-way guard who highlighted a lot of intriguing flashes during the event, Trevor Best. He’s a smart, versatile wing prospect with the ability to operate in a variety of different roles. Best excelled at penetrating and getting downhill in transition, but also displayed solid feel as a passer and capabilities as a ball-handler. He possesses useful instincts defensively. Next in his development process is working on the use of his off hand, as it would make him a more reliable creator.

Best was one of a few prospects who stood out with BSM Waka Flocka Flame at Raleigh Live. He’s a tough cover on the offensive side of the ball given his pedigree of attacking the paint off the bounce. Defensively, he’s improved tremendously with his ability to play scrappy defense and blow plays up. He’s set to make some moves on the recruiting scene following a productive outing at the Live Period.

is an electric guard prospect to get to know in North Carolina’s 2025 class. He had a productive weekend in Virginia Beach with
Team Wall
and earned an offer from VCU and first-year head coach Ryan Odom in the process. He’s a guard prospect that plays with a ton of energy on both sides of the floor as a playmaker and defender on the floor. As he turns his skills into wins and leadership, look for his recruitment to grow as other Division I programs have already drawn interest.
