This week, we will be starting with the rising seniors. If you have a player who deserves to be recognized, please send @RossVDG14 on X (Formerly known as Twitter) a direct message.
The 6-2 rising junior shooting guard is one of the best spot-up shooters in the Class of 2025 across the state. Darner can score in a variety of ways whether it’s off the catch or off the bounce gaining a ton of confidence over the summer playing for 1Family Hoops. Darner has a great feel for the game where he can get his teammates involved as he is a persistent passer who doesn’t force many mistakes on the floor. Darner plays a very poised game and is an underrated on the ball defender as well.
The 6-4 rising junior wing plays with a lot of toughness and quickness while out on the floor. Rosario can get from the 3-point line to the front of the rim within a dribble as he has a quick first step on the offensive end. Rosario also plays an unafraid game displaying a ton of confidence in finishing around the rim against bigger defenders. On the defensive side, he has shown he can be very versatile on the floor where he can be seen guarding multiple positions. He is also an underrated rebounder for his size where he can crash the boards with the best of them.
The 6-2 rising junior combo guard is a score-first guard who can knock down shots at all three levels. He plays with a ton of confidence when he has the basketball in his hands where he can score off the catch, as well as off the bounce. Livingston is also a good on-the-ball defender where he is very active and can jump passes by using his athleticism to turn defensive stops into baskets on the other end. He is also a very unselfish player as he makes the extra pass to set his teammates up for a great shot occasionally as well.
The 6-7 rising junior wing is one of the top two-way prospects in the state as he plays with a ton of versatility on the floor. Mayfield is an athletic wing who can also play the shooting guard position as he displays a great handle and feel for the game. On the interior, Mayfield does a great job using his length securing rebounds and can finish put-backs at the front of the rim at a high level as well. He is also continuing to gain more confidence in building a shot from the perimeter.
The 6-3 rising junior point guard brings a lot of intangibles to be a college prospect. Smith displays a great basketball IQ and played with a ton of confidence this summer playing for G1 Sports. Smith is also a terrific shooter across all three levels and is an underrated defender as well. Smith also can control the game at his own pace and gets his teammates involved as he averaged nearly four assists per game last season as a sophomore with Wiregrass Ranch. Look for college coaches to start peaking interest in Smith as his junior season approaches.
