2023 stats: 19.0 PPG – 3.9 rebounds – 3.7 assists Haven’t got to watch Darner play live since the last season and this kid is really starting to grow into his frame. I’ve mentioned this now a few times, but Darner is the top sharpshooter in Polk County who has truly found his game in his junior season. I knew of his potential upside but to watch it on display this season has been truly impressive. He’s a lights-out shooter as many know but it’s the slept-on winning spirit and leadership mentality that may not show up on film. Watch out for Darner to continue developing and get the attention of college coaches.

The 6-2 junior shooting guard has continued to be one of the sharpest perimeter shooters in the state for his class. He has brought dead-eye accuracy when it comes to shooting from beyond the arc where he knocks down 3-pointers at a near 40 percent rate. He is also very aggressive when it comes to guarding off the ball on the defensive end where he limits the opposition into taking tough shots as he is quick to jump the passing lanes. Darner holds offers from Dartmouth, Jacksonville, Le Moyne, North Florida and Youngstown State. Expect a big leap to take place in his recruitment before the season ends.
