The most impressive game I’ve caught of Moreno came on Wednesday against Phenom United where he showed everything you’d want to see from a high major center. The two 3-pointers drew some noterity from the scouting services and NBA scouts on the baseline but Moreno did a lot more throughout the game. His quick processing with the basketball was impressive to watch, finding cutters and kicking out to shooters when doubled. He also was more assertive in the paint and had a couple one dribble finishes on stronger defenders. A couple putbacks too, one dunk and a few layups showed his ability to get second chance points for himself. Everything I saw from Moreno suggests he’s going to make a rise from just outside the top 50 RSCI to inside of it if he continues to play like this.
Braylon Banks
Braylon Banks
A dynamic lead guard, Banks has the natural talent to create for himself off the bounce and knock down shots on the perimeter. Hit a couple spot up 3’s and had a nasty fallaway 3-pointer at the shot clock buzzer as well. Also hit a big time pull-up jumper in overtime to tie the game, Banks made some big shots. Defensively, he got after it as well with good instincts and effort. For Banks, biggest development is being more consistent as a decision maker. He showed flashes of impressive passing but also was careless a few times with the ball. I really like his talent and think he could be a big piece for a Bowling Green squad that is looking to make a lot of noise this season.
I really like the game of Phillips, a wing who can knock down open shots and knows how to play, he’s a guy who helps you win games. On Wednesday he made a few plays in the paint where he simply outworked the opponent to get offensive rebounds and putback layups. A capable perimeter shooter, Phillips knocked down a couple time and space 3-pointers. Phillips also found a cutter on the baseline with a pass then used a baseline cut for a layup a few possessions later. High IQ, strong, good shot-maker, Phillips brings a lot to the table at the 15 U level.

One of the more intriguing long-term prospects in the Midwest for the class of 2026, Weis showed flashes of absolute dominance on Wednesday. A big-time athlete, Weis had a couple ridiculous pins off the backboard on layup attempts and can finish at or above the rim. Also had a steal that led to a transition slam dunk and a couple easy putback layups. The one thing I didn’t get to see was the jump shot but I’m confident that will come in time. A big-time talent, Weis will soon be known on a national scale.

Noah has made a big climb this spring with lots of programs very interested in the big wing’s impressive skillset. An elite shooter from the perimeter, Noah can run off screens, hit shots off the catch and does so at great efficiency. Noah also made a nice cut after the defense overcommitted to stopping the threat of his jumper that got him an and-1 layup. With 14 new offers since April, Noah has been one of the hottest 2024 prospects in the Midwest this spring and summer. Drawing big time college coach turnouts both for Harlan County and Midwest Basketball Club during live periods.
