Evan Anderson – 2024 – SG – Wisconsin Playmakers
Anderson has cemented himself as one of the top Division 2 prospects in the Midwest. However, the Division 1 offers are coming. There’s a handful of programs showing serious interest in the Onalaska star, who’s been one of the state’s biggest risers over the last year. A prospect that’s steadily gotten better and better throughout his career, Anderson has a savage-type mentality as a scorer with no off switch. He’s got a lot more bounce and athleticism than you’d think for his body type. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a handful of mid-majors jump on board here this month.
Jamarion Batemon Jamarion Batemon 6'3" | CG Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2025 State #174 Nation WI – 2025 – G – Power 5
Illinois and Iowa State were the first programs to offer Batemon earlier this summer. Marquette, Wisconsin, Utah, BYU, and others are also showing interest going into the open period. A budding three-level scorer with a flamethrower, Batemon can knock down shots anywhere. He’s a very long guard with the handles and creativity to generate any type of shot he wants. Batemon also brings it defensively. He can guard various positions and has some subtle toughness and grit to him on the defensive end of the floor.
Zach Kinziger Zach Kinziger 6'3" | SG De Pere | 2025 State #127 Nation WI – 2025 – SG – Team Herro
Wisconsin was the first power-five offer for Kinziger, who’s just tearing through some of the top talent nationally. Iowa, Notre Dame, Iowa State, Marquette, Utah, and Northwestern are among the other programs now showing interest. A very high-IQ prospect who can not only lead you in scoring on any given night, but will do all the dirty work defensively and give his body up for hustle plays, Kinziger is a unique guard prospect with a very high motor and will to win.
Kon II Knueppel Kon II Knueppel 6'6" | SG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2024 State #15 Nation WI – 2024 – W – Phenom University
Knueppel is already the state’s top prospect. The only question is, how big will his recruitment get? In what was already a heated battle between Virginia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Marquette, Louisville, and Wisconsin, Knueppel has since added big time offers from Alabama and Duke. Schools such as Gonzaga and UCLA are also sniffing around the top 25 national talent.
Highlights
Nolan Minessale Nolan Minessale 6'5" | SF Marquette | 2024 State WI – 2024 – SF – Chapman Basketball Academy
Coming off a huge spring, Minessale continues to ascend. A prospect with major upside, Minessale has already reeled in Division 1 offers from St. Thomas, South Dakota State, and Green Bay. A big-time athlete with a lot of length, Minesalle is still just scratching the surface and makes most of his plays above the rim offensively and defensively. However, the 6-foot-5 wing has shown the ability to knock down shots consistently and impact the game across the board. Currently ranked No. 12 by Prep Hoops, I could see Minessale as high as No. 8 when all is said and done.
Kai Rogers Kai Rogers 6'10" | C Wauwatosa West | 2025 State #41 Nation WI – 2025 – C – Wisconsin Playground Club
Still very much believe in Rogers being the state’s No. 1 ranked prospect when all is said and done. It’s going to be a very tight and competitive race, but Rogers is quite unique on a national level. A big, athletic, and imposing center, Rogers can run and jump like a deer. He’ll completely own the paint on both ends and doesn’t have that far to go in terms of his back-to-the-basket skills. Steadily starting to take his game away from the rim and shoot it from the outside a bit, Rogers could see his offer list explode if he develops a consistent 3-point shot. As it stands now, Rogers owns offers from Arizona State, Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas, Georgetown, Iowa, Ole Miss, Purdue, Iowa State, Marquette, and more. Think Rogers is strongly underrated on a national scale and should be among the nation’s best at his position.
Grant Warren Grant Warren 6'9" | PF Marathon | 2024 State WI – 2024 – F – Wisconsin Blaze
You just can’t teach a lot of what Warren brings to the table. A lanky, 6-foot-8 forward with a budding skillset, Warren has serious mismatch nightmare potential. He’s a solid shooter from 3-point range, can handle the ball in the halfcourt or in transition, and protects the rim at a high level. A kid that could absolutely take off after a few years in a collegiate strength and conditioning program, the long-term upside and trajectory for Warren ranks among some of the best in the state.
