Ashton Pierce Ashton Pierce 6’3″ | SG North Mecklenburg | 2026 State NC is one of the biggest stock risers as the HM offers roll in for the sharpshooting guard with Team CP3. He moves into the Top 10 as he makes waves during Peach Jam as a top performer, shooting on the perimeter. He’s a name to get to know in the 2026 class.
Yohance Connor Yohance Connor 6’3″ | CG Combine Academy | 2026 State NC moves into the Top 15 at the 13th spot following his production on the hardwood with 1 of 1 Elite Rare. He’s a prospect that’s set quite the tone on defense and with his exploits getting to the rim and making things happen as a high-level defender. He’s another high level prospect to keep eyes on as a national prospect.
Shimere Garris Shimere Garris 6’1″ | SG Hertford County | 2026 State NC is an emerging combo guard that gets after it on the hardwood with NextUp GBBA Select. He’s a confident backcourt presence that can fill it up on the perimeter and in the midrange area given his shooting prowess. He’s a prospect to get to know for DI and DII programs in the region.

Jalen Sheppard Jalen Sheppard 6’2″ | CG Southern Wake Academy | 2026 State NC continues to emerge while playing up at 16U on the grassroots scene with Team Curry East . He’s set to turn a corner in the backcourt given his ability to defend and play both guard spots. He’ll be one to keep an eye on at Southern Wake Academy.
Tyson Thompson Tyson Thompson 6’10” | C St Paul’s | 2026 State NC is an emerging frontcourt prospect to get to know out of St Paul’s High School. He’s a mobile presence that can finish and protect the rim with his length and athleticism at 6-foot-9. He plays with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor already with offers from East Carolina, College of Charleston and Ohio University.
Jordan James Jordan James 6’3″ | SF Farmville Central | 2026 State NC is a new face to get to know at Farmville Central High given his recent development in the backcourt. He’s an aggressive prospect on the wing capable of knocking down shots in the midrange and on the perimeter as a scoring threat. Defensively, he’s shown he can defend multiple spots on the floor and make his presence felt that way as well. He runs with Warriors Life Elite during the grassroots season.
Jaire Richburg Jaire Richburg 6’4″ | SF East Forsyth | 2026 State NC is a versatile wing prospect to get to know in the 2026 class with Team CP3 on the EYBL stage. He’s shown he can operate around the rim and knock down shots on the perimeter with efficiency throughout the spring grassroots scene. He’s a name to get to know at East Forsyth High in 2023-24 with an offer already from High Point.
