The Ottawa Glandorf Titans have been busy in the month of June, already stopping by Xavier and now Ohio State before a visit to Bloomington, Indiana before Midwest Live. All in hopes of putting star Colin White Colin White 6’5″ | SG Ottawa Glandorf | 2024 State #156 Nation OH in front of elite college programs. White’s made some developments since the state tournament, most notably a smoother jumper that’s more fluid and going in at a higher rate than before. Combine this improved shooting with White’s usual tough takes to the basket and relentless motor and you have yourself one of the top talents in the state. Plenty of schools interested in White right now, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top in the race to sign him.
Another statement showing came from Burris as he absolutely took over the second half against Sandusky and put on a show in front of a couple Buckeye coaches. Burris got scorching hot from long range and racked up the points in a hurry. With his calm demeanor, Burris never gets too high or too low and is a killer on the court. His athleticism pops when he’s able to explode off two feet and he almost dunked on a defender and also threw down some transition slams. Burris is one of the top players in Ohio and with a supporting cast that can knock down open shots, expect Delaware Hayes to be in contention for a district title once again when the playoffs come around.
Olentangy Orange graduated four starters from last year’s regional runner up, letdown in Lewis Center this season? Not with how they looked on Thursday. With a squad filled with stars from the unbeaten JV team and bench pieces on varsity last year, the Pioneers haven’t skipped a beat with a new look squad. Joy was knocking down shots from all over the gym on Thursday and could be one of the top scorers on this new look team. A name for small college coaches to watch this winter in central Ohio.

Another team with plenty of new faces is Pickerington Central, they might not have had the success Olentangy Orange had today, but Wells was a standout for the Tigers. A physical presence in the paint at 6’7, Wells can make an impact at both ends with his shot-blocking and rim pressure. Throwing down a couple slams in both transition and the half-court, Wells is looking menacing to rims in central Ohio. Even knocking down the occasional jumper, Wells will have an opportunity to be a leading scorer this winter. Starring on both the gridiron and hardwood, Wells should receive scholarship interest in both sports during his senior season.

Gallagher impressed for Grove City as the lefty got hot from the outside with his high arching 3-point shot. A tough guard, Gallagher wasn’t afraid to mix it up in the paint for loose balls and could drive and kick after drawing the defense to him. His best passing attribute was his connection with stud big Kraig Gilbert Kraig Gilbert 6’8″ | C Grove City | 2024 State OH in the pick and roll. Look for this duo to score a lot of points for Grove City this winter.
