They showed some promise on Sunday and Whorton was at the center of it all. Rapidly developing his offensive game, Whorton looks like a completely new player from the one I saw six months ago. His highlight play was catching the ball on the wing making a fake pass then taking two dribbles for a slam dunk. Had a couple quick decisions with the basketball against pressure, Whorton was getting it to his teammates quickly. A couple lefty finishes in the paint, Whorton is tough to stop going over his right shoulder. This Irish team is a bit lower on top end talent than we're used to seeing but they will be tough, defend and always compete, still a threat in northeast Ohio's Division I.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1965540"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"One of the bigger risers this spring and summer, Gamble has burst onto the scene and is playing with a lot of confidence right now. A guard who looks to create for himself off the dribble, Gamble is tough to keep in front of when he's attacking downhill. Best shooting from mid-range off the bounce, I want to see Gamble consistently make 3-point shots as well. In transition, Gamble can change directions quickly and leave defenders in the dust. Olentangy Berlin started five seniors and have a lot of talent on their team, they could be a sleeper in central Ohio.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1432011"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"One of the biggest stock risers from the entire event, I left incredibly impressed with McClure on Sunday. Knocking down timely shots from the perimeter, applying pressure defensively and dominating both ends of the court, it was a complete performance by McClure. His highlight moment of the game came at the first quarter buzzer when he took it the length of the court in 5 seconds before pulling up for a confident jumper at the horn. Lots of Division I programs took notice of the play McClure had this weekend and I'd be surprised if he ended July with a couple offers.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1506017"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Another new face in a new place, Scott is now at the defending Division I state champions of Archbishop Hoban. The knights were without both [player_tooltip player_id='1222351' first='Jonas' last='Nichols'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1773220' first='Sam' last='Greer'] due to minor injuries but still had plenty of talent to shine on Sunday. Scott likely had the most assists in any one game I saw this weekend, passing the ball at an extremely high level. Scott is able to put the ball on a dime in the pick and roll, use no look passes to keep the defense guessing and find cutters to the basket. A rhythm shot-maker, Scott's jumper looks better off one or two dribbles than the catch, as he made a handful off the bounce and a top of the key 3-pointer off the catch. Expect Scott to have a big year with the Knights as they reload for another deep playoff run.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["1497737"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"The last time I got to watch Sims was at this event a year prior so it was good to get eyes on him again. Sims has grown a couple inches over the past 12 months and looks to be 6'4 and pushing 6'5 with his hair. The second-best highlight play of the weekend came when Sims dunked on a Lakota West defender who tried contesting his attempt. There's still some athletic and physical upside in Sims as he's still young in the face and could be still growing and maturing physically. Sims sat most of the second half as McKinley let some new faces shine in the victory. With Sims and [player_tooltip player_id='2028944' first='Je'Cis' last='Moody'] as a pair, the Pups have some returning talent to show the new guys how it's done.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-649c573e6d522"} /-->
