Continue ReadingO’Brien Watkins O’Brien Watkins 6’2″ | PG Carrollton | 2024 State GA was arguably one of the biggest stock risers of the weekend and stirred up a ton of chatter amongst LM and D2 coaches. Watkins is one of the strongest guards in the class, able to get to the rim with ease and finish in traffic. When defenses collapsed on him, he always found the open man and showed off an impressive combination of scoring and playmaking. The mid-range jumper was hitting as well, some nice elevation to get his shot off over contesting hands.
This weekend provided the first look at David Culbreath-Martin David Culbreath-Martin 6’0″ | PG Berkmar | 2025 State GA in a Berkmar uniform and he gives them a strong backcourt piece alongside Eddie Cooke III Eddie Cooke III 6’7″ | SF Berkmar | 2025 AZ on the wing and Mekhi Ragland Mekhi Ragland 6’10” | C Berkmar | 2025 State #400 Nation GA down low. Culbreath hit the game-winning and-1 to take down Tucker on Friday and hit some other clutch shots down the stretch in that game too. Culbreath’s ball-handling and shot making ability should help Berkmar tremendously and they now have one of the best 2025 trios in the state.

It didn’t take Jordyn Buchanan long to catch my eye on Friday as he came out firing against Hiram. Buchanan has a unique package, a big time athlete at 6’5 and also a deadly three-point shooter. He’s got good instincts on the defensive end and turned many lazy passes into transition dunks. While Buchanan is effective and impactful right now, the long term potential is scary. North Florida, Flagler, and Edward Waters all offered after watching him this weekend.
Walton was among the most impressive teams we saw this weekend, Luke Flynn Luke Flynn 6’2″ | PG Walton | 2024 State GA and Caesar Burrows Caesar Burrows 6’4″ | CG Walton | 2025 State GA the heavy hitters while the holes are filled in with fantastic role players. However, Burrows stole the show this weekend. He initiated a lot of Walton’s offense and showed off some real three-level scoring ability. Burrows is crafty with his footwork and scores it well around the paint using shot fakes and strategic pivots. As LM and MM schools show up for Flynn, they need to take a hard look at Burrows too.

Ryan Crotty had an ultra-productive weekend in Atlanta, eerly reminiscent of when Holly Springs came down to this event last year and Collin Kuhl showed out. Crotty’s game is bit different however, deadly from beyond the arc while also providing size and defensive versatility on the wing. He finished the weekend averaging 17 PPG and led to Holly Springs to a 4-0 record. His 4.3 GPA should attract plenty of high-academic schools as well.
