OB physically dominated in Carrollton’s 58-36 win over Union County collecting 15 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. His strength and aggressive mindset will make an immediate impact at the D-III level if that is where he lands.

Not many guards are better at finishing through contact at the rim than OB. Watkins absorbs contact and finishes with great skill and craft. When he gets momentum, he’s a nightmare to try to prevent getting to the hoop. Watkins collected 18 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists in Carrollton’s first fall league loss in over a year, defeated 55-48 by Darlington.

Carrollton’s trip to the Elite Eight was largely spurred on by OB. The Trojans retuo action after sweeping through the Fall League a season ago, going a perfect 7-0. Watkins earned All-League First Team honors, serving as the catalyst by averaging 15.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game. Watkins’ ability to hit holes like a running back, burst out of the pack in transition and finish through contact at the rim is what makes him so special.

was arguably one of the biggest stock risers of the weekend and stirred up a ton of chatter amongst LM and D2 coaches. Watkins is one of the strongest guards in the class, able to get to the rim with ease and finish in traffic. When defenses collapsed on him, he always found the open man and showed off an impressive combination of scoring and playmaking. The mid-range jumper was hitting as well, some nice elevation to get his shot off over contesting hands.

OB is one of the state’s best at getting downhill. He’s an explosive athlete with strength to barrel through the defense and score at the rim. He went 10-12 from the line as he finished with 18 points before fouling out vs. Buford. Continuing to mix in his mid-range game will help his development take off. Late in the game he proved he could beat his man and stop short to pull-up from 10-feet.

. In a 94-85 win, Watkins delivered 27 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. His athleticism and aggressive mindset put him in positions to take over. He is a tenacious defender that picks up full court. Offensively, he uses his strength to power his way to the rim, but also mixed in a handful of threes. His ability to control games makes him a certified GameChanger.
