Continue ReadingHis performance in the semi-finals against NLCA was clearly one of the best showings that we saw from any player at ECI. He scored 40 Points, knocking down eleven three point shots to lead the Jaguars to the Championship. This was the first time that we got the chance to see him with his new squad and he already looks like he’s fitting in perfectly.
Provided a nice amount of offense for the NLCA squad throughout the event, especially from midrange and three-point land. He gets to his spots, has good lift on his shot, and shoots the ball with confidence. The first round of the playoffs was probably where he put together one of his best performances of the weekend, showcasing his ability to score from all three levels and finish through contact.
Highlights
His perimeter shooting ability has always been one of his strongest attributes and he did not disappoint, knocking down a good amount of perimeter shots. However he seems to be embracing his role as a facilitator also, making some good reads/passes more often this season. As stated before, he will be called on to be the senior leader for this team that has quite a few underclassmen that will look to him to lead the way.
Don’t let his size fool you! Although he only stands at about 5’6, this young man can flat out play and does not back down from any challenge he’s faced with. He has good upper body strength, impressive end to end speed, plays with a high motor on both ends of the floor and is an extension of his coach when he’s on the court.

There is plenty to like about this rising Junior Point Guard but one of the attributes that stood out the most to us was the fact that he does not force plays. He has a good IQ for the game, a quick first step that allows him to get by defenders with ease and all the tools to be a very good two-way Guard.
His team faced an early deficit but managed to fight back and make things very interesting down the stretch and he was one of the reasons why. He knocked down some big-time shots down the stretch and is the type of player that wants the ball when the game is on the line.
A strong Guard that can make a high number of plays on or off the ball, he will be a huge part of the success of New Hanover over the next few years. He has the ability to be a playmaker as a PG or a slasher from the wing spot by using his strength to finish against taller players.
