Helms senior season may be finished with a second round loss to Garner, but he was the guy his team relied on to make plays offensively down the stretch of both state tournament games. He had 19 in a first round win over Pinecrest, then 24 in the aforementioned loss to Garner. He’s great at getting to his spots on the perimeter, and also knows how to drive the ball in order to initiate contact and get trips to the free throw line. Potential college level prospect that coaches should take a look at.

Made plays for his team by using his shooting ability as well as facilitating ability. He doesn’t need much space to get this shot off and always has his head and eyes up which allows him to make the correct reads/passes.

His perimeter shooting ability has always been one of his strongest attributes and he did not disappoint, knocking down a good amount of perimeter shots. However he seems to be embracing his role as a facilitator also, making some good reads/passes more often this season. As stated before, he will be called on to be the senior leader for this team that has quite a few underclassmen that will look to him to lead the way.

We love how he has grown not only as a player but also as a leader for his team. He’s become more vocal and does a nice job of getting his team into their sets. His ability to knock down the outside shot has always been impressive and he’s even attacking the basket more often.

Could very well be the X-factor in this matchup as he is one of the Guards on this team that has played in numerous big-time games before. He currently is averaging just under 13 Points per game, can score the ball from the perimeter as well as getting to the basket and can be a very solid defender. He will be called on as one of the players to attempt to slow down the Guard play of NHHS and his ability to do so could be a key factor.

Continues to get better each time we get the chance to see him. His outside shot wasn’t falling as much as it usually does but he stayed aggressive and attacked the basket which would lead to some interior buckets. On the defensive side of the ball, he was solid as well, making his opponent work hard for every scoring opportunity they were able to get.

Has gotten off to an outstanding start this season with his latest performance being a 17 Point showing against DH Conley. His ability to knock down shots from three-point range is one of his strongest attributes but he has also shown the ability to make plays off the dribble. The Junior is a player to keep a close eye on throughout the remainder of this season as the Bucs look to make a deep state playoff run.

We are very excited about the potential he possesses and the type of season we are expecting him to have. He has impressive shooting ability from three-point range but also has shown that he has the ability to make plays for his teammates.
