Continue ReadingHere we have more breakout predictions for the 2026 class. With so much talent in this class leaves the ability for many players to have huge breakout seasons. These players had already impressive seasons but will look to build more on that heading into their sophomore seasons. Here are my breakout predictions for the 2026 class part III.
Hodge is a pure scoring machine at the shooting guard position. At 6’4″ he can shoot over almost anyone with his quick release and shot-making ability. Hodge is great at getting out in transition often going to a euro-step when driving to the basket. He can even play elite defense with his long arms allowing him to poke the ball loose more giving him more opportunities for fastbreak points. His shooting touch is what completes his game as he can make any three-point shot the defense gives him.
Asprilla is a beast on the defensive side of the ball. He can seemly swat any shot into the bleachers whenever someone dares to test him in the paint. He can even strip the ball away from ball handlers too. Asprilla has a high motor when it comes to grabbing boards. He will stop at nothing to grab every board in his reach. His timing on offensive putbacks is excellent which is where he scores a lot of his points.
Santiago is a player that can do everything on the court for his team. His ability to create his offense off the dribble is what separates his talent from everyone else. He can shoot over anyone with his height and can crossover any defender looking to press up on him. Santiago can get to the rim with ease with his hop-step move and soft touch around the basket for easy floaters.
Lin is a complete player at the point guard position. His playmaking ability is what you want out of every point guard as he can make all the correct reads and passes for his team. Lin can get his shot with his tight and shifty handles which allow him to hit tough step-back and fadeaway shots. He can get to the rim and likes to play through the contact for easy fouls. Lin will look to swarm you on the defensive end as he is excellent at poking the ball free from ball handlers and reading passing lanes.
Boyd is a matchup nightmare for many teams looking to guard him. He has great height at the small forward position being 6’4″he can tower over you in the paint for easy buckets. Boyd works the midrange game well as he looks to use his floater and soft touch around the rim. When it comes to defense he can contest every shot that comes in the paint. His long arms allow him to block many shots and grab lots of tough rebounds.
