Easter makes the rise from third to second and while it’s very close between him and Dorian Jones Dorian Jones 6’4″ | SG Richmond Heights | 2025 State #61 Nation OH , I leaned with Easter after his impressive performances playing 17 U EYBL for All Ohio Red. Doing a good job as a point guard of getting downhill, making plays for others and running the offense, Easter is looking very coachable from the point guard position and playing with a lot of maturity. He’s already announced he won’t be back at Emmanuel Christian next season and will be looking at prep schools in the NIBC to continue to seek out top competition, so when he makes that move, he will depart our rankings, but Easter has numerous high major offers and will continue to see his recruitment expand if he continues this level of play.
A back-to-back state champion, Barber is a winner from the point guard position. Doing all the little things, Barber is an elite passer, a tough defender and invaluable to whatever team he plays on. His size will be a question until he produces at whatever college level he chooses, but I find it hard to believe he won’t eventually make a winning impact at the college level, which is what programs are looking for in high school recruits.
Another guy who took a leap this past weekend playing 16 U in the EYBL circuit. West was shooting the ball at an efficient clip and his impressive pace and ability to knock down floaters and make plays for others was crucial to All Ohio Red’s 16 U success. I expect bigger name programs to get involved with West before Peach Jam concludes. Check out his full analysis on our recent 16 U EYBL breakdown by clicking here.
An elite shooter from the outside, Cotton gets better every time I watch him play and continues to improve his stock. Midwest Basketball Club 16 U 3SSB went 4-0 at the first weekend and their team is a perfect fit for Cotton to show off his talents. With how quickly the ball moves on their team, an elite shooter is bound to get quality looks and few are better at cashing in than Cotton. I also think there’s some untapped physical upside with Cotton as his body still has room to add strength and mature. I think low to mid major programs will want to get involved with Cotton early, thus far Bowling Green is the only school to offer the sharp shooting wing guard.
Another elite shooter in Ohio’s 2025 class, Crutcher can get hot from the outside like few players can. I was impressed with Crutcher during the high school season, watching him go off for an efficient playoff outing where he showed off his deep shooting ability and how he moved without the ball in his hands. I want to continue to see Crutcher perform against top competition and watching him on the 16 U 3SSB circuit will tell me a lot about where Crutcher stands against top players from around the country in the 2025 class. Another prospect I expect low to mid major programs to get involved with sooner rather than later.
