Check out Part and Part 2 below!
Harris was flat out electric when I saw him play. He was elite with his speed and ease of movement, getting down the floor in the blink of an eye. Harris was able to score in bunches and was terrific in the open floor.
Collin Branch was a playmaker among playmakers on his talented Wisconsin Academy team. Not only could he score with his jumper as well as attacking off the bounce, but I also really liked him as a passer and distributor.
Emoni Smith
Emoni Smith
Smith was terrific with the ball in his hands at The Stage. He was slippery when finding lanes and creating off the bounce. Smith saw the floor on the move and hit open teammates with dump offs and swing passes.
Josh Johnson
Josh Johnson
Johnson was very impressive at The Stage, leading his team to a 3-1 record over the weekend. He was excellent as a primary ball handler that controlled the feel of the game and got the ball to it’s spots. Johnson was solid in transition, both scoring and distributing.
Foster was really solid at The Stage last weekend. He was an athletic lead guard that created off the bounce and kept defenders guessing. Foster showed 3 point range on his jumper and the ability to score as well as pass in transition. He was a 2 way player that looked for deflections.
Jackson McCarthy
Jackson McCarthy
McCarthy proved that he needs to be accounted for by the defense as a shooter. He really grooved his jumper and made at least 4 triples when I watched him play. McCarthy was able to shoot off the dribble and the catch.
Zickert has a ton of upside as a player and prospect. He has an impressive frame for a lead guard and can play a physical game. Zickert was efficient with his handles and was tough on D when pressuring the ball.
Swoveland had a huge influence around the rim at The Stage. He was incredibly active on the glass on both ends of the floor which limited possessions for opponents and extended them for his own team. If Swoveland got position on the left block, the rebound was his.
Highlights
Curtis Brown
Curtis Brown
Brown had a knack for creating scoring opportunities close to the rim. He was able to play effectively as well as score in traffic. When Brown played through contact, he was able to get to the free throw line.
Brady Schmidt
Brady Schmidt
Schmidt definitely made a statement in Indianapolis at The Stage. He was able to score at multiple levels on Sunday, hitting a mid range jumper, nailing a pretty floater in traffic and scoring in transition.
CJ Traylor
CJ Traylor
Traylor caught my attention early in the event on Friday evening. He showed off a nice jumper with a pretty triple, but it was his D that stole the show. I really like the way Traylor grinded and got after it with his perimeter defense.
