Nike’s EYBL circuit is in Phoenix, Arizona this week and there will be four different Nike programs with over 20 Oklahoma prospects competing on the national stage. Oklahoma’s own Team Griffin has their 17U, 16U and 15U programs at the event. While Oklahomans are represented on the rosters for MOKAN, Pro Skills and Drive Nation.
Here’s a look at some of the names to know out west this weekend. Starting with the 2024s, which this is a pivotal weekend for, all the way to Oklahoma’s top 2026 prospect.
The recent Kansas State commit closed out Atlanta with a flame throwing 7 of 11 shooting from three performance, scoring 24 points total. He also opened last weekend with a 5 of 6 performance from beyond the arc. Castillo is one of the best scorers in the nation, and has four more huge opportunities to light up the scoreboard.
The dynamic game changer was a stat sheet stuffer for MOKAN last weekend, handing over 4 assists, grabbing just over 6 boards and averaging just under 10 points per game. Barrett is an elite level athlete, with an elite motor. Even at this high level, those traits translate. But for the Edmond North star to reach his full potential, his shooting much improve. Which ended streaky shooter this past high school season, who ended it very strongly from beyond the arc. But got off to a 25% shooting percentage from three. It’s a new chapter this week, and a new chance to start another hot streak.
Griffin is deep with Oklahoma talent, with the recent offers and exploits of a few other players who will make noise this weekend were covered yesterday. The versatile wing-forward has a huge wingspan and his performance will be critical for the program to build off last weekend’s 3-1 mark. Combs-Pierce had a full breakout this past season for Norman, who made the State Tournament for the first time in years. His ability to impact the game defensively with steals and blocks, along with versatility in covering multiple positions, is one way he could catch college coach’s eyes.
Wilkerson’s huge opening game last weekend was covered yesterday, but after that strong scoring performance his numbers were more muted. The small town standout can score in multiple ways, and it will good to get an in person viewing of the skills of the southern Oklahoma standpoint.
The sharpshooter from Putnam City West shot the ball at a solid clip last week in Atlanta, with a 40% mark from beyond the arc for the weekend. He also handed out a few assists in each contest. Constant only joined the Texas based program a few weeks ago, so his role is still growing headed into this pivotal Live Period.
After flashing his game changing ability in a win in Kansas City last weekend, Scott will now be pushed at his first Nike 16U circuit event. Consistency is the name of the game as players make the big leap from the 15U level to the size and physicality of the national 16U circuit. The energetic Scott will be hunting shots all weekend, needing just brief openings to get his microwave like scoring ability to heat up.
After a slow start last Friday, Furnish finished Kansas City strong pulling the strings of his squad’s offense. While also continuing to show his pinpoint shooting off the dribble. The aspect to keep an eye on Furnish is the pace he plays with against quicker guards, there were moments in Kansas City that he looked off his game. This weekend will surely bring more challenges against athletic foes, leading to a great chance for Furnish to continue his development for the next level.
After a great season for the 4A State Champions Douglass Trojans, the shifty guard will be a chance of pace weapon at the 16U level for MOKAN. His signature teardrop floater and ability to break down defenses in transition will serve him well this weekend.
Along with Deer Creek’s Isaiah Wilks Isaiah Wilks 5’10” | PG Millwood | 2026 State and Edmond North’s Amari Barrett, Montonati will be under the bright lights with the program that produced last year’s Peach Jam champions at the 17U level. The Owasso Ram already has offers from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Tulsa. With MOKAN’s 15U team also playing their games in the same location, it should be a who’s who’s of high profile college coaches coming to watch the 5 star prospect. With his elite shooting and his size combination, Montonati’s offer list very well could grow following the event
