I was very impressed with Wiley’s ability to break the defense down and get to the paint. An impressive athlete, Wiley had a productive freshman season at Wyoming, scoring 10 PPG. After seeing him for the first time on Saturday I left very impressed with his game. I thought Wiley did a good job of attacking the basket and not settling for jumpers. While he did make a couple off the bounce jumpers, it was the rim pressure that he provided that made the biggest impact. When Wiley learns to finish off two feet in traffic instead of leaning on one-foot finishes, he’ll be even more dangerous as a slasher. A name to watch in southwest Ohio’s 2026 class.

A teammate of Wiley’s on Saturday morning, Duncan did a great job of spacing the floor for his team and knocking down some deep 3-pointers. I also was impressed with Duncan’s off ball movement to get himself open to launch from downtown. There were also a few plays where Duncan stole the ball and took it coast to coast in transition for easy buckets. Another name to watch in southwest Ohio’s 2026 class.

Hatfield was getting busy on Saturday, creating shots for himself all over the court and making plays off the bounce. A big-time shooter, Hatfield was letting it fly from downtown and connecting on a high percentage of those looks. When Hatfield used his shifty handle to get to the paint, he created plays for himself and others. Finally, I was impressed with the poise he showed in the pick and roll to display patience and find open teammates on the roll or kick out to a shooter if the help defense came to the middle. An impressive guard, it’ll be crucial to pay attention to how Hatfield develops physically because he is very skilled for his age.

The most talented player in the gym on Saturday, Sanderson is a big time scorer who has high major potential. Just picking up his first two Division I offers from Ohio University and Duquesne this weekend, those two won’t be the last for Sanderson. Sanderson gets to his spots, can hit jumpers from deep and is tough to stay in front of. A strong athlete, Sanderson doesn’t get pushed off where he wants to attack and can score it very efficiently. This is one of the most talented 2026 point guards in the Midwest and could very soon be a national name.
Mirgon was playing up one age group but looked like he belonged on the court against the older competition. Mirgon is physically ready to play 15 U basketball and impacts the game without scoring. I was impressed with his quick processing and decision making and his defensive effort. He also made the occasional jumper but was mostly in the game to create for others and be a complimentary piece to winning basketball. Mirgon will be a prospect that makes a lot of noise over his high school career as Hilliard Bradley should be one of central Ohio’s best in 2024.
