Here are 10 players from around the state of Indiana that could burst onto the scene as we enter into the teeth of the grassroots season.
The #4 ranked freshman in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2026 rankings, Curry II played in every game at the varsity level for Noblesville this season. He is among the best athletes in the class, is really smooth with the ball in his hands, and shoots it well from beyond the arc. Look for him playing with Indy Heat 15u on the EYBL Circuit this spring and summer. Don’t be surprised to see the Division I offers to start coming his way.
Highlights
Daeger fought through an injury during his freshman season, but still played 15 games and was the Dragons second leading scorer at 12.7 points per game. He is an elite three-point shooter leading Silver Creek in 3’s despite missing nine game. He made 29 three-pointers in 15 games at a 38.7% clip. Daeger will play with Indiana Elite 15u this spring.
Highlights
There aren’t many freshmen who step in and make an impact right away at the varsity level. However, there are even few who are able to contribute on a team that advanced to the Class 4A Semi-State. Elmore, a 6’4″ forward, averaged 5.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game for the Panthers.
Evans stepped up right away and was Greencastle’s second leading scorer and rebounder as a freshman. The 6’6″ talented forward averaged 11.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game for the Tiger Cubs. He has an excellent all-around skill level for his size. Should have a big spring and summer.
Highlights
This 6’1″ guard is as athletic as they come in Indiana’s Class of 2026 and was a day one major contributor for New Haven. He went on to earn Second Team All-Northeast 8 Conference honors after averaging 8.7 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. Could be one of the bigger stock-risers in the state this spring.
Highlights
A 6’6″ wing with excellent physical tools for his age, Miller became a key player for Lawrence North as his freshman season went along. He ended up averaging 7.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game for the Wildcats while shooting an impressive 41.5% from beyond the arc.
Highlights
This shifty 5’10” point guard continued to play a bigger and bigger role for the Orioles as the season went along. He became one of their go-to guys down the stretch of the season finishing with a 7.1 points per game average. He had a couple of 20+ point performances in the finals weeks of the season as well.
There weren’t many players in the state of Indiana with a more productive freshman season than this Bishop Chatard point guard. Roseman averaged 14.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game on his way to being named Third Team All-City. He will be playing with North Coast Blue Chips 2026 this spring.
Highlights
Like many of the top freshmen in the state of Indiana, Shaw continued to improve and impress as his first high school season went along. At 6’4″ he has guard like skill on the perimeter and developed into key role player for the Bulldogs who went 15-10 on the season. He should have a big spring and summer.
Smith already holds a couple of Division I offers and very well could see some more coming in over the spring and summer. The dynamic playmaker averaged 13.1 points per game while making 46 three-pointers at an impressive 42.2% clip. He will play with Indy Heat 15u on the EYBL Circuit this spring and summer.
