The state’s best are already on scouting radars, but who’s next? Here are the sophomore small forwards who increased their stock the most this season!
After a stellar, breakout sophomore year, Latrevion Fenderson Latrevion Fenderson 6’4″ | SF The Prairie School | 2025 State WI earned 2nd Team All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention. Both are well deserved, as he averaged a team best 17.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. LaTrevion already stands at 6’5″ and has great size and strength. He finishes well around and above the rim. He’s an active rebounder that has a crafty handle for a wing. His ability to create for himself and attack the hoop is quite impressive, especially the way he protects the ball on the way to the rack. He’s growing into a playmaking wing, that can also knock down the three ball. LaTrevion will be a prospect to track and should garner some Division I attention.

Another prospect that will be exciting to monitor is Jackson Accuardi Jackson Accuardi 6’6″ | SF Deforest | 2025 State WI out of DeForest. A 6’7″ wing that shoots 60.1% from the field, 39.3% from three, and can dunk? Sign me up! Jackson is an effective scorer that shoots the ball at a high percentage all over the floor. Although he only averaged 1.5 assists per game, the vision and passing capabilities are there. Jackson is able to scan the court and make a variety of accurate passes to open teammates. After averaging 14.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, it’s no wonder that Jackson earned 2nd Team All-Conference.

Drew Murphy Drew Murphy 6’4″ | SF Verona | 2025 State WI out of Verona High school earned 1st Team All-Conference and Prep Hoops All-State Honorable Mention. Drew led his team to their first winning season in 11 years. This was largely due to his scoring volume – 19.2 points per game. Drew’s already able to score at a high level. He set a new school record with 41 points against Madison West. Come his season year, I wouldn’t be surprised if he averages 25+ points per game. His balance and body control are very mature and it’s mostly due to his ability to finish off of two feet. Drew also shows potential as a scorer from distance and does a nice job of knocking down jumpers in traffic.

Throughout the course of the season, Trevor Polite Trevor Polite 6’6″ | SF Homestead | 2025 State WI is one prospect that’s grown on me. He continues to show strides as an effective finisher around the rim. I like how he dunks the ball with force and he will continue to grow as an above the rim finisher. One part of Trevor’s game that goes a little unnoticed is his passing abilities. Trevor has a high IQ and great vision. He passes well out of the post, on the wing, and in transition. On a year he averaged 11.2 points, 7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, Trevor earned 3rd Team All-Conference. Trevor fits the Division I mold and will likely see his recruiting pick up this summer.
Eli Lindsey Eli Lindsey 6’4″ | SF Mineral Point | 2025 State WI is the younger brother of Isaac Lindsey (Wisconsin) and Mallory Lindsey (UW Oshkosh). Expectations are high for Eli, but he’s meeting them. The 6’4″ wing averaged a team best 14 points per game, to go along with 6.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assist. This was enough to earn 1st Team All-Conference honors. One thing that stands out about Eli’s game is how active he is on the defensive end. His length and ability to take up space really shrinks the floor. I admire the way he pokes the ball away without fouling. He has great hands and can grow into a 3&D type of player at the college level.
