Grove came out and continued to have the pedal to the metal, as they extended their lead to 34-17 after the third quarter. The fourth quarter was the only quarter that Coweta scored more than Grove, as Grove ended up beating them 49-37. There was a player that has played well all season that I have heard about, and he showed up ready to play in this one. I will talk about who that is later. The second game of the two games was #1 Memorial taking on Pryor. Pryor kept it competitive for the first few minutes, but then Memorial’s two stars showed up ready to play. Seth Pratt Seth Pratt 6'3" | SG Memorial | 2023 State OK was firing out of the gate, as he chased the school record for career three pointers made. He ended up ending three shy of the record, with another opportunity to break the record on Saturday night. Jarreth Ingram Jarreth Ingram 6'4" | SF Noah | 2023 State OK showed up in the second and third quarters and just dominated those quarters. These two players that are both two of the top 10 seniors in the state was too much for Pryor, as they beat them 80-35. That sets up a matchup between Grove and Tulsa Memorial heading into Saturday night.
Seth Pratt Seth Pratt 6’3″ | SG Memorial | 2023 State OK put on a show, firing on all cylinders from the start. He hit one three after another, knocking down four of them in the first half. At halftime, he had outscored the other team by himself, as he had 14 points. He continued to chase the three point record for most threes in a career at Tulsa Memorial, finishing the game with five three pointers and 21 points overall. He showed that he can knock down contested shots, off-the-dribble shots, and open shots from everywhere on the perimeter. There was more to his offensive game than just scoring the ball, as he showed the ability to act as a playmaker. One play, he drove the gap to break down the defense, then kicked to an open teammate in the corner. His impact went way beyond his significant scoring impact, as he had a near double-double at halftime with points and rebounds. He finished with the double-double and made an impact on the defensive end, playing great defense. I recorded four steals for him. His team was ahead by so much that he barely played the fourth quarter. It was an impressive shooting display and all-around performance in this one. He showed why he is the #18 ranked senior in the state.
Jarreth Ingram Jarreth Ingram 6’4″ | SF Noah | 2023 State OK had a slow start in the first quarter, but had a massive second and third quarter. Between those two quarters, he had 18 points. Overall for the game, he led his team with scoring with 26 points. It came in various ways, he showed the ability to shoot by knocking down three three-pointers. He had some electrifying dunks. He scored in transition and knocked down a free throw. His ability to have well timed and sharp cuts was on display, as they resulted in a couple of open dunks and layups. He grabbed multiple rebound by utilizing his length and the ability to box out. Some of these rebounds were turned into great outlet passes, resulting in assist. His ability to be a two-way player was on full display in this one, as he showed why he is the #5 ranked player in the state. He led or was second in every major statistic this season: averaging 17.4 points on 55% shooting from the field and 41% from three point range. He was second on his team with 3.4 assist per game, as well as averaging 9.4 rebounds per game. Offense and rebounding was only part of his impact, as he averaged 1.8 steals and 1.4 blocks per game. This is a player that has made an impact on both ends of the court in high school. One that is ranked #7 out of all seniors in Oklahoma for a reason.

Hagen Hacker Hagen Hacker 6’2″ | PG Grove | 2023 State OK is a player that I have heard about all season and was finally blessed to watch. He did not disappoint, as he got it done on both ends of the court. He finished the game with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and one assist. He showed multiple times the ability to put his head down and get to the rim, but there was more to his game. Numerous times he hit a pull-up jumper or got to the free throw line to knock down free throws at a high clip. There was one play that he hit a pull-up three despite the shot contest. Scoring was not all that he could do, as he showed the ability to act as a playmaker. On defense, he was not afraid of any task. He provided great help multiple times It was an impressive performance by him in this one.

Mason Ford
Mason Ford
Mason Ford was one of the few bright spots for Coweta in this game. He had a big fourth quarter, scoring 15 points in the quarter. He got this done in a variety of ways, knocking down three pointers, hitting mid-range jumpers, and scoring inside. This senior refused to go down without a fight, cutting the deficit down closer than Grove would have liked. He finished with 22 points for the game, with 20 of them coming in the second half. Offense was not the only place that he made an impact, as he played great defense- both on ball and off. It was an impressive effort for him that just came up short.
