<p>Third-ranked Gladbrook-Reinbeck (20-2) topped Hartley-Melvin-Sandborn, 58-45, Thursday night. [player_tooltip player_id='1167735' first='Jaxon' last='Bunkers'], a senior, added 11 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds and a pair of steals for the winners, who face South O'Brien in Tuesday's district final. </p>

<p>South O'Brien (16-7) won at Kingsley-Pierson, 44-35, Thursday night. Junior Ben Woodall netted 13 points and pulled down five rebounds for the Wolverines, while classmate David Bottjen added 11 points, seven boards and four steals. </p>

<p><strong>Substate 1/District 2</strong></p>

<p>Host Gehlen Catholic (19-5) advanced to the District 2 Final with a 53-41 win against George-Little Rock Thursday. Connor Kraft, also a senior, added eight points and six rebounds for the Jays. </p>

<p>They'll face 10th-ranked Newell-Fonda (17-4) in Tuesday's championship. The Mustangs won, 83-53, Thursday at GTRA with senior [player_tooltip player_id='1167701' first='Carter' last='Sievers'] netting 28 points, pulling down 10 rebounds, handing out six assists and swiping six steals. Fellow senior Mason Dicks contributed 20 points and six assists. </p>

<p>Sixth-ranked Dunkerton (22-1) bested visiting North Butler, 52-39, Thursday night. He was complemented by sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1436496' first='Dylan' last='Marquart'], who added 14 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal. </p>
