Richmond Heights is the prohibitive state title favorite after winning the state championship last season and finishing the regular season unbeaten. The Spartans are led by a Sophomore trio of [player_tooltip player_id='1432015' first='Dorian' last='Jones'], [player_tooltip player_id='1432006' first='De'Erick' last='Barber'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1432020' first='Demarris' last='Winters Jr']. They play alongside their Junior frontcourt of [player_tooltip player_id='1352459' first='Hosea' last='Steele'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1679931' first='Jeremy' last='Wilson'] and the Spartans are one of the most talented teams in the state regardless of Division. Open Door and Salineville Southern could be sleepers in this district but the Spartans will likely roll into the regionals.

Northeast 2

This district should be competitive as top seed Warren JFK has an impressive resume of wins this season but there are a couple of teams that should push them. At the bottom of the bracket Lowellville and Dalton are the next top seeds, [player_tooltip player_id='1225078' first='Braylon' last='Wenger'] has had a great end to his senior season and looking to make one last deep playoff run.

Northeast 3

This district looks like a two horse race as Cornerstone Christian, led by Quinn Kwasniak, has some impressive victories this season and Badger has [player_tooltip player_id='1373983' first='Duncan' last='Moy'], one of the most talented wings in Ohio's 2024 class. If any team can stop them from meeting in the district championship it will likely be Vienna Mathews.

Northwest 5

The only northwest district in this region, the winner of this one will play northeast 2 district champion in Canton for the regionals. Colonel Crawford is the top seed with [player_tooltip player_id='1810207' first='Braxton' last='Baker'] having an excellent senior season. Lucas is the second seed and a team I got to watch this season and was impressed by Corbin Toms.
