Some will be instant starters, some will need an adjustment period, and others will have to play behind established players already on the varsity. We are at the mid way point in high school hoops in NorCal. We’ve made the effort to see these prospects with our own eyes. Here’s the PH NorCal top 5. Over time players will move up or down depending on new players coming in, and others expanding their game.
Stokes comes in as a highly touted Freshman, he chose the Prep School route. We first laid eyes on him at the end of 7th grade. Right then and there, he had the size, skill set, and ability of a player that could handle the varsity level. He was one of a few 2026 prospects invited to the USA Camp in Colorado. He’s tops in California, and probably top 5 in the country for 2026.
He’s a calm looking Freshman with a polished game for a new comer. He has a good overall skill set for the guard position. He’s long and silky with a smooth jump shot from mid-range. He can get into the paint, create for himself, and others with good vision, and passing off the dribble. He has the length to defend multiple positions, and help with rebounding.
A good skilled guard that can adjust his game to play either guard position. He has a scoring guard mentality, isn’t shy about using his individual abilities to get a bucket, yet he can be productive using a good set of handles, and vision to deliver excellent passes on the court, and in the flow.

He can get a bucket in and around the rim with his size, and length. He’s a good court runner. He’s had some success using his dribble, but still developing his game on the perimeter.

He’ll run the the court looking to throw one down in transition. He can play in the post if called upon. He’ll rebound and push the break.
