James exploded onto the scene this past week with the Holly Springs Hawks. He’s an active guard presence that’s already making noise with his defense and ability to attack off the bounce in the 2025 class. He’s a prospect to keep an eye on in 2022-23.
Highlights
Lash is on quite the tear in the Charlotte Christian School frontcourt in 2022-23. He’s posted 24.6 ppg, 14.4 rpg and 1.7 apg through their first nine games of the year, including 22 points and 15 rebounds against Westminster Catawba on Tuesday. He’s an active presence in the paint to keep eyes on in the 2025 class.
Gladden is a 6-foot-1 combo guard off to a quick start at the lead guard role for Cary Academy in 2022-23. He’s posted 16.9 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 4.6 apg and 2.7 spg while showing off his ability to be a playmaker and distributor in the backcourt. He’ll be one to get eyes on this season with his steady production.
Highlights
McSweeney hasn’t force the issue with his play entering Year 2 on the varsity scene with Cardinal Gibbons High. He’s averaging 8.0 ppg and 6.8 rpg through their first six contests. He’s a 6-foot-8 versatile presence that can get going inside and out and due for a breakout sophomore season in 2022-23.
Fife is another sophomore guard off to a fast start for Sanderson High in 2022-23. He’s a big reason for their 9-0 start to the season, averaging 19.6 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 3.9 apg and 3.0 spg on the season so far. He’s a guard with a high IQ for making plays and filling up the stat sheet in NC’s 2025 class.
Freeman is another 2025 guard leading his squad to a strong start in 2022-23. He’s got North Johnston High off to a 5-0 start thanks to his 28.0 ppg, 6.6 rpg and 4.8 spg as a speedy two-way presence in their backcourt. He’s leading the way while shooting 52 percent from the floor and 32 percent from 3-point range. He’s a young, speedy guard to get eyes on in the 2025 class.
