He’s coming off a strong debut season in the NCISAA where he surpassed 50 points and averaged a double-double as a paint presence. He’s a relentless finisher with sneaky athleticism and a solid frame to go along with it. He’s an undersized forward at 6-foot-5 that’s shown he can hold his own on the interior with his length and strong frame.

John Lash John Lash 6'5" | PF Charlotte Christian | 2025 State NC is the biggest mover into the Top 10, moving from 25th to No. 6 following quite the productive sophomore season in the Charlotte Christian School rotation. He set a new school-record in points with 50 points on 59 percent shooting this past December and ended the year with averages of 24.5 ppg, 14.0 rpg and 1.7 apg for the Knights. He’s a relentless paint presence that can clean up on the glass and operates with a ton of athleticism for his size at 6-foot-6. He’s a name to keep eyes on with Team CP3 on the EYBL circuit this cycle.

John Lash John Lash 6'5" | PF Charlotte Christian | 2025 State NC has been one of my favorite stories of the year so far, and he deserves more coverage for his 24.5 PPG and 14 RPG season he’s averaged. He is an undersized 4 man at the next level at 6’5/220, but is an absolute beast in the low post. He’s incredibly physical, and his ability to continue fighting for loose balls and rebounds is unmatched across the state. He’s still got more to be desired in the touch and post move category, but his steadiness and athleticism in the low post has been getting him a long way so far. He is also a baseball stud, projecting as a great pitcher and infielder. However, if he chooses the basketball route, this interior bruiser should be on the radar of a lot of college coaches.

John Lash John Lash 6'5" | PF Charlotte Christian | 2025 State NC is someone who is headed towards being one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2025 class. He is a strong-framed forward who is capable of putting up some absurd stat lines due to his ability to score inside and rebound the ball. His strength allows him to work past opposing forwards in order to score at the rim. He’s pulled down over 4 offensive rebounds a game in that time span as well, cleaning up misses and making opponents pay if they do not box him out with multiple bodies. It will be interesting to see his continued development and what else he can add to his game besides interior scoring and rebounding.

Lash is on quite the tear in the Charlotte Christian School frontcourt in 2022-23. He’s posted 24.6 ppg, 14.4 rpg and 1.7 apg through their first nine games of the year, including 22 points and 15 rebounds against Westminster Catawba on Tuesday. He’s an active presence in the paint to keep eyes on in the 2025 class.

Lash has had a big time last seven days, even as his team has started 1-4. Against some really talented squads, Lash averaged 25.3 points in 3 games last week, as well as posting an absurd 31 point 22 rebound stat line against a strong WS Christian team. He’s a big, stocky forward at 6’5 and about 220 pounds, which means he’s got interior scoring ability in droves. He is just more physical than almost anyone guarding him, and uses it to his advantage. He’s averaging 12 rebounds a game this year, and is a real two-way threat on the boards. 10 of his 22 rebounds against WS Christian were offensive, and he was able to create a lot of second chances from using his frame to bully people out of the way. He will continue to be a strong, undersized post presence that leads his team and provides some gaudy stat lines to look at over the rest of the year.

Lash is an emerging name to keep an eye on at Charlotte Christian School. He’s a 6-foot-5 forward with varsity experience under his belt already from 2021-22 that he’s looking to carry over into his sophomore campaign. He went for 25 points and 10 rebounds in their season opening win over South Lake Christian Academy 67-65 this past Tuesday.
