Joining Ayo in the front court is the Queens commit who is coming off a solid season. Austin finished the year averaging around 11 points and 8 rebounds. Versatile is the word that comes to mind when pinpointing the type of player Austin is. Offensively he scores it well in the paint but also stretches the floor when needed. His off the catch shooting is ahead of the off the dribble shooting but that’s an area I think he takes a step in this year. Austin has improved as a ball handler each year and got more comfortable handling pressure. Not only is he still attacking closeouts well but he’s now able to blow by bigger defenders with an improved handle.

Finishing above the rim is habitual for him when he gets to the paint and he has the strength to absorb contact for and-one opportunities. Passing is an underrated aspect of Austin’s game, and the assist numbers may not be high, but his decision making is excellent. Him being utilized as a hub in the half court this year is a wrinkle I would think we see more of. Even some inverted pick and rolls with him as a screener and ball handler would work. This versatility speaks volumes of how useful Austin can be in impacting winning.

Bradway had some really good moments for Charlotte Christian despite their narrow loss to BCA on Friday afternoon. Bradway’s ability to operate in multiple spots on the floor with comfort allows him to help this team with his blend of size and skill. Bradway will often use his strong frame to overpower weaker wings on his way to the basket where he is more than capable of finishing through contact. Bradway also acts as a connector for this team, using his voice on the defensive end and ensuring the offense moves in the right direction. Bradway is a no brainer next level talent that should see a nice little bump in the rankings at the next update.

He’s been quite the presence in the Charlotte Christian frontcourt with his rebounding, shot-blocking and finishing ability in the paint. He’s putting up 5.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 blocks per game as a presence in their rotation this season. Look for him to play a role in the Team Ish rotation this grassroots cycle as well.
