Park Center looked unstoppable, Hopkins looked good, and Lakeville North is as deep as we thought! It's week two from the Breakdown fall league.

[player_tooltip player_id='962198' first='Taison' last='Chatman'] of Totino-Grace (6'4, 2023). Teams handle fall league differently. For example Osseo, Park Center, and Totino-Grace, they do a lot of five in, five out regardless of what the score is (gives a lot of players a chance to get game action). In doing so Chatman plays just a half for the Eagles (and it's all they needed him for) but against BSM it was a 14 point, six rebound, four assist game on 6 of 7 shots. Taison was for the most part unstoppable. His d-board grab and push, turnover collection and quick get up the floor, it was done with precision and done with high level results. Taison looks much stronger and his push was men against boys type against BSM. Chatman looked outstanding and we could see an amazing senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1220415' first='Kaden' last='Cook'] of Park Center (6'4, 2023). The secret weapon Park Center has that won't be overly discussed is [player_tooltip player_id='1220415' first='Kaden' last='Cook']. He is pound for pound one of the strongest players in his class and when the Pirates used him to screen and roll, Cook cleared space for the guards, and rolled hard to catch and finish regardless of what met him at the rim. He's the player that is going to post up your fifth defender or out fight your fifth defender for second chance scores. His finishing scores beating Holy Family was a perfect example of what is going to come in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] of Hopkins (6'0, 2026). We've been talking a lot about [player_tooltip player_id='1560882' first='Cedric' last='Tomes'] and rightfully so. Yesterday Jayden got his chance to go at his classmate and was able to come out on the winning side. Let's say the simple thing first, [player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] flying up the floor is as fast as you will see a guy push in high school basketball. He puts immense pressure on a transition defense, especially the player assigned to get back and locate him. And if that player isn't ready somebody else has to pick up and most teams don't have bigs or forwards that have a prayer of keeping Jayden in front of them. Outstanding finisher on the move, excellent creator off the attack, and for me, I love the transition push the most right now.

[player_tooltip player_id='1492564' first='Collin' last='Mulholland'] of Holy Family (6'10, 2023). This is here for me to point out again that Collin is one of the best available seniors and I think is about to get some offers this winter that some might not expect. When [player_tooltip player_id='962199' first='CJ' last='O'Hara'] tried to dunk on him, Mulholland used that 6'10 size to meet him at the rim and block the shot. When the ball was dropped off to Collin on the move, he finished comfortably inside without any hesitation. He handled some, showed off that touch, and once again we have a player that I think is going to have a lot of choices very soon. There is a reason Iowa was just by his school.

[player_tooltip player_id='1220406' first='Trey' last='Smith'] of Osseo (6'7, 2023). Osseo lost to Lakeville North but we have to note how well Trey played with so much defensive attention on his offense. Did he press his own shots a few times? Yes. There were times the pressure was on him to get a bucket in tough spots. But for the most part you had to be impressed with the way Smith got to his 20 points including four threes and some attacks that he had to complete through three players. I've seen him continue to shoot the ball better and better with each viewing as he keeps adding to his game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1139350' first='Hudson' last='Vaith'] of Lakeville North (6'5, 2023). There are a lot of questions floating through my head right now with Hudson. Like.... should more division two schools be checking on him? Maybe they should be. Does he have a chance to be the second leading scorer or maybe even top scoring option for the Panthers at times this year? It's very possible on this balanced team. Is he more versatile and agile than given credit for? I think so. Really liked what he did on both ends Sunday against Osseo scoring 13 and playing a solid all around game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1572689' first='Jalen' last='Wilson'] of Benilde-St. Margaret's (6'7. 2025). Wilson is at the top of our sophomore charts and he played like it on Sunday. Wilson scored 24 points on 11 of 12 shooting against Totino-Grace mixing in a couple threes with a couple short jumpers, and a few rim completions off off-ball movement. Wilson's ability to apply the screen and move to space at the elbow or cutting hard to the rim was often rewarded with a quick catch and finish. And his back to the basket touches often resulted in scores as well. He played the role of combo forward very well for BSM.

Park Center looked unstoppable, Hopkins looked good, and Lakeville North is as deep as we thought! It's week two from the Breakdown fall league.
