Section 6AAA Rundown
Not only does 6AAA have five of the top twenty teams in Class AAA but their non top 20 teams aren’t push overs and the sophomore talent in this section is outstanding. There are a few frosh you are going to hear from this group as well! Three of the top five sophomores in the state are in 6AAA plus several others that could work their way into good spots in the future. Orono likely has the best combo seniors and young talent, BSM has the best group of young players, and Delano’s going to be tough to stop scoring (they should double last year’s win total of eight at least). Mound-Westonka is the defending champion and the team basketball that they play will be tough for every team in this section. Kraay, Vanderwilt and Luke Leonard have the talent to try and defend the title. Also watch out for Richfield who has young talent plus the transfer of the Hayes brothers from Mankato East helps them a great deal.
