Here’s a look at the top small forwards/wings in the class outside of the top ten overall players.
Walker made our top performers at the freshman showcase and has already been mentioned in our article about high potential prospects. Not a lot else needs to be said right now for our 11th ranked prospect in the class.
Jeremiah is one of those Louisville kids who may not be heard from a ton this season at the varsity level because Saint Xavier is going to be pretty deep. Don’t let that diminish his long term potential though. Jackson’s ranking is a long term projection of his college potential and is one to watch in the Derby City for a while.
Simon is one of those prospects whose build looks like he could be 4-5 inches taller in 2 years and if that happens, his prospect ceiling is going to be ridiculous. King has a nice skill level already and showed he can put the ball on the floor or knock down shots. Look for him to contribute early and often this high school season.
Male is a program that has been hit hard by transfers over the summer so Clark could have an early opportunity to carve out a role as a freshman at the varsity level. Jaymes is an athletic wing with solid handles and has shown a willingness to guard. His defense could get him on the court for varsity early in his high school career.
Davaree was almost impossible to keep out of the lane at the freshman showcase. He’s undersized as a wing and likely needs to become a point guard long term. Gude showed a willingness to guard and knocked down open shots when the opportunities presented themselves.
