Here’s a look at some of the top rising sophomores and incoming freshmen in the state that were there and how they performed.
Boden Howell Boden Howell 6'3" | CG South Medford | 2025 State #394 Nation ID (2025 South Medford)
Howell certainly shot early and often during camp but that’s what the rising sophomore does best on the court. He showed deep range on his jumper and was able to hit shots both open and contested.
Isaac Carr Isaac Carr 6'3" | CG Central Catholic | 2025 State #75 Nation OR (2025 Central Catholic)
Carr has visibly grown both in height and strength/stature this off-season. The rising sophomore also isn’t just relying on his jumpshot and has been looking more at attacking the basket and this was evident at PSU camp.
Duce Paschal Duce Paschal 6'0" | CG Central Catholic | 2025 State OR (2025 Central Catholic)
Paschal is a lanky athlete and he really showed a good amount of motor and energy at the camp. He was more than capable of creating off the dribble for himself and others and was able to demonstrate he had a perimeter jumper as well.
Zamir Paschal (2026 Central Catholic)
Nicknamed “Bam”, the younger Paschal more than held his own against much older and bigger players. The young point guard plays with a maturity beyond his years and simply seemed to know exactly where to be on the floor and what to do with the ball. Despite his smaller size he was a force on the defensive boards as well.
Jemai Lake (2026 Tualatin)
As he has earlier this summer, Lake continues to impress us with the fact he consistently steps on the floor against older players and is not intimidated in the least. In the action we watched, he confidently handled the ball and hit a couple of shots when left open.
