Jed Tai | Prep Hoops Scout
We all know that Hill can score the basketball – at the Northwest Shootout the future college point guard showed he can pass. The 6A First Team All-State honoree finished with 8 assists, consistently finding the open man in the second half, and hit a bunch of clutch free throws down the stretch to finish with 10 points. He recently decommitted from Utah State but hopes to find a new college location in the near future.

Out of all the coaches polled, the senior from Roosevelt gathered the most first and second place votes and only one coach ranked him fourth. The talented guard was lauded for his offensive ability and most everyone believes he’s set for a great college career at Utah State for a coach in Danny Sprinkle that’s good with his development of guard talent.

The “newcomer” to the list is Hill, who has that listed in quotes because Oregon high school fans are well familiar with the Roosevelt senior as he played his first two years in high school as a Roughrider. He returns home to North Portland after spending his junior season at AZ Compass Prep, which helped him further develop his game and earn him a number a scholarship offers – including the one he committed to sign with this fall, Utah State. Hill left the state as the #1 ranked player in the class and after chatting with a number of national pundits that watched him perform down in Arizona, we decided it was fair for him to reclaim that spot in this update of the rankings. He’s a legit challenger for 6A Player of the Year honors.
