If there was one guy who truly did it all in the Sunday action we watched, it was Hill. The rising sophomore guard not only ran the point, he scored the ball, hit the boards (in a huge way), and perhaps most importantly led the Roughriders to victory. The lefty had his shooting stroke on from deep early, which set up some strong drives to the basket when the defense adjusted. Team highs with 29 points, 14 (!!) rebounds, and four assists.

Playing up two age groups in 17U was no problem from what we saw from Hill, who fit right in. The Roosevelt freshman was cool and composed when he ran the point and got the opportunity to play off the ball as well. While his lefty jumper from three wasn’t quite falling, he adjusted by going to mid-range pullups and strong drives into the lane.

The younger brother of former all-state honoree and current VCU Ram Terrence, Hill put in a nice day’s work at the Freshman Showcase. Currently listed at 5-foot-9, the incoming Roosevelt freshman is still growing physically but has the mind and skills of a more mature player. He played with a good feel for the game, showed a nice touch with his lefty jumper, and had the quickness to get by his defender for finishes at the rim or kick outs to teammates for scores. (JT)
