The rising freshmen class has a lot of talent and should make noise at the end of July. Here are the 2025 forwards set to end the summer strong.
David Munro David Munro 6'7" | PF College Achieve | 2025 State NJ , 6’7 PF Bergen Catholic
Munro has had a solid summer for the PSA Cardinals and is looking to end it with a purpose at Peach Jam. The 6’7 forward has a strong frame, which he uses to get position down low and has a nice touch around the basket. Munro also has the potential to play on the perimeter as he has a decent handle and hit open jumpers in the mid-range. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and moves well without the ball in his hands. Munro is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential and should get more confidence as time passes on.
Mekhi Ragland Mekhi Ragland 6'10" | C Berkmar | 2025 State #400 Nation GA , 6’6 PF DePaul Catholic
Ragland is teammates with Munro with the PSA Cardinals and has the potential to have a strong Peach Jam. The 6’6 forward has a soft touch around the basket and uses his body to get position down low. Ragland has a nice release on his jumper and is capable of knocking down open jumpers from behind the arc. He is tough to box out on both ends of the floor and is an underrated passer. Ragland’s ability to make plays with the ball in his hands is something that will help his stock in a big way.
Z’yaire Simmons Z’yaire Simmons 6'5" | SF Paterson Kennedy | 2025 State NJ , 6’5 SF Paterson Kennedy
Simmons had a good debut season the Knights and is looking to end July on a high note with the NJ Legacy. The 6’5 forward is at his best attacking the basket as he is a solid finisher and can draw contact in the paint. Simmons can hit jumpers in the mid-range and has a nice touch on his shot. He is a strong rebounder and uses his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end. Simmons is a two-way forward prospect whose best basketball is ahead of him.
Nas Hart Nas Hart 6'8" | PF College Achieve | 2025 State #159 Nation NJ , 6’7 PF St. Thomas Aquinas
Hart is an intriguing prospect to watch in the 2025 class as he has the potential to play multiple spots in the frontcourt. The lanky 6’7 forward runs the floor hard, creating easy layups and dunks for himself in transition. Hart has a solid handle and is becoming more confident with his jumper on the perimeter. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and holds his ground on the defensive end. Hart is a hard-working forward prospect who does whatever it takes to help his team win games.
Destine Evans Destine Evans 6'6" | SF Pennington | 2025 State NJ , 6’6 SF Pennington
Evans has had a good summer for Team Final as he made plays for them at both ends of the floor. The 6’6 forward finishes strong around the basket and is unafraid of drawing contact. Evans moves well without the ball in his hands and has a good release on his jumper. He is a force on the glass at both ends of the floor and moves his feet on the defensive end. Evans is a tough forward prospect who impacts the game at both ends of the floor.
