Expert Analysis
Tom Keller | Prep Hoops Scout
Munro is a tactician inside and has no issues using his weight to bully his way to different places on the floor. He is a threat to make a play at the dunker spots or as a lob catcher. He can operate out of the two man game and is an effective screen & roller. Munro has a good face-up game which makes him even more versatile on the offensive end. He takes smart shots and doesn’t look to overdue it.

Much as he’s been all year for Camden since gaining eligibility as a senior transfer, Munro was a physical and efficient presence near the rim. Whether working in the post or converting on dumpoffs, he brutalized opposing defenders with his sheer force before finishing under control. He consistently forced opponents to account for him on the glass. His game isn’t the sexiest and there’s some limitations he presents on D, but productive, low-maintenance bigs don’t grow on trees, and it shouldn’t be long before a D1 program identifies Munro as a valuable late addition.

A strong and physically empowering big, David Munro David Munro 6'7" | PF Camden | 2025 State NJ makes a living inside the paint. Munro has a solid back to the basket game that showcases his good footwork and his ability to finish around the basket. Munro has also showcased an ability to not only stretch the floor and knock down the open three but also put the ball on the floor and attack slower footed bigs. Defensively, Munro makes his interior presence known as solid rim protector and a solid rebounder.
With a senior season that’ll showcase a diverse offensive skillset along side and his ability to protect the paint on the defensive end, we could see more schools get involved in his recruitment before his senior season comes to a close.

Munro plays more on the inside with him being very skilled in the paint with many moves he can go to. At 6’7″ he can play multiple positions and will look for mismatches in the post whenever he can. Munro can shoot the three if you give him the space but he would rather put the ball on the floor and go straight to the rim with his soft touch and athletic ability. On defense, he will look to be the rim protector for his team blocking and contesting anything in his way.
