Let’s look into some news..
2023 Johnny Papadakos will take a post-graduate year at Northfield Mount Hermon. The 6-foot-8 wing/forward averaged 8.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for Cardinal Gibbons this past season. Papadakos is a versatile prospect that can score inside-out. His ability to pick and pop opens up the floor on offense. Papadakos is also getting better with his shot around 15 feet. I think his overall touch will only improve as he adds to his frame. Papadakos is already reliable as a rebounder and rim protector due to his natural size.
2022 Hasmar Francois recently committed to The University of Fort Lauderdale. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 11.6 points and 3.2 rebounds for Hollywood McArthur this past season. Moreover, he knocked down 66 3-pointers. Francois will also be competing in track for the Eagles. He was a 4A state champion in the high jump. I’d expect that sort of explosive leaping ability on the court. Francois is set to graduate with a 4.0 GPA.
2022 Elijah Wyche recently committed to Queens University (NC). The 6-foot-5 wing averaged 13 points and eight rebounds per game for Pembroke Pines Charter this past season. Wyche has solid build and is a skilled playmaker. He can score around the rim or in transition. His versatility also extends to the defensive part of the floor. Wyche leaves Pembroke Pines Charter with a 4.4 GPA and as a state champion as a junior. The Royals are transitioning to D-1 as a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference effective July 1st.
I believe both Deshayne Montgomery and Jaiden Miller are still unsigned. The senior pair recently played well at the prestigious Bob Gibbons tournament. They each helped Somerset Prep North Lauderdale to a 21-10 record this past season. Montgomery finished 1st in scoring (19.5 ppg) and 2nd in assists (4.8 apg) while Miller placed 2nd in scoring (16.8 ppg) and 1st in assists (5.2 apg). They are two highly qualified playmakers with individual upside.
